An Awareness Programme on Cyber Bullying, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse and Safe Working Spaces organised at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala in collaboration with Punjab Police, District Patiala, under the title ’Saanj” organised an awareness programme on cyber bullying, domestic Violence, child Abuse and Safe working spaces. In this programme Inspector Pushpa Rani was the main speaker. Sh. Baljit Singh also accompanied her.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar inaugurated the programme and said that it is our responsibility as citizens to bring awareness about such social violence and to ensure safety and justice to the survivor.
Chief Guest Inspector Pushpa Devi said that there are strict laws against these social problems and the students can play an important role in fighting against such social psychology. She said that without public participation laws are often non-functional.
In this programme NSS Officers, Prof. Jagdeep Kaur, Dr. Deepak Kumar, BCG Officer Dr. Rupinder Singh Dhillon, Dr. Pooja Bansal, Prof. Veerpal Kaur, Prof. Jagjot Singh and Prof. Gurpreet Kaur were present.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐਸ ਤੇ ਬੀਐੱਸਜੀ ਵਿੰਗਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਈਬਰ ਕਰਾਈਮ, ਘਰੇਲੂ-ਹਿੰਸਾ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਜੀ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਪੁਸ਼ਪਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਹੋਈਏ ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਦਿਲਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਨਰ-ਵਸੇਵੇ ਲਈ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਰਹੀਏ।
ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਪੁਸ਼ਪਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਹੁੰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ -ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਖਤ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤੇ ਨੇਮ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਅਦਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਵੀ ਨਿਹੱਥੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਨਐੱਸਐੱਸ ਅਫਸਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ.ਦੀਪਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਬੀਐੱਸਜੀ ਅਫਸਰ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ, ਡਾ.ਪੂਜਾ ਬਾਂਸਲ, ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਵੀਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ।
