Expert Lecture on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” at Modi College

 

An expert lecture on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” was held to celebrate World Entrepreneurs Day on 21st August, 2025 at Multani Mal Modi College Auditorium. It was organized by Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the department of Business Management of Modi College. The resource person was Dr. Simpi Malhotra, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal welcomed the guest and underscored the significance of such events in the present times. He motivated the students to make the best use of this enriching talk.

Around 120 students attended the lecture. The speaker discussed the effective utilization of Discovery theory and Creation theory to make optimum use of opportunities. She also shared real-life examples, and used simple language to explain the theories.

Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Vice Principal, proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of the IIC team for organizing such an expert lecture. Dr. Harleen Kaur, Social Media Convenor of the IIC, conducted the stage proceedings smoothly. The event’s success was a result of the dedicated efforts of all IIC Council members and the active involvement of the IIC Student Council in organizing the function.

Dr. Deepika Singla, Dr. Veenu Jain, Dr. Savita Gupta and other faculty members were also present.
