Teachers of Modi College honoured with ‘Exemplary Services Award’
Meritorious teachers of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala were honoured with the ‘Exemplary Services Award’ by Bhai Kanhaiya Institute of Medical Studies, Patiala and Mission for First Aid, Health and Safety Mission for their services in various fields.
The function was specially attended by Retired IAS & MD Manjit Singh Narang, Retired SSP and Principal Punjab Jail Training School Sh. R.K. Sharma, Principal Kanhaiya Institute of Medical Studies Dr Neeraj Bhardwaj and Social Worker Sh. Kaka Ram Verma.
College Principal Dr Khushvinder Kumar formally welcomed and happily congratulated the teachers selected for the honour and highly appreciated the services rendered by them. Recalling Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, he said that the goal of education can only be achieved if in turn education is offered to society as a service. The teachers should work happily for the betterment of society by rising above their self-interest.
Retired I.A.S. S. Manjit Singh Narang lauded the overall achievements of Modi College and congratulated the entire management and teachers. Referring to the role of the teacher, he said that Modi College has always understood its social responsibility and the teachers and students have selflessly served the society on a priority basis.
Sh. Rakesh Kumar Sharma said that he was personally impressed by the personality of Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, the head of this organization, whose able leadership has earned this organization a prestigious status in the entire region. He appealed to the students that hard work is the only step by which they can reach their destination.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar was honoured for his academic and administrative activities. On this occasion, NSS Programme Officers Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Dr. Harmohan Sharma and Prof. Jagdeep Kaur were honored for their services in Blood Donation Camp, Environmental Awareness, Health, Women’s Safety and Rights.
Dr. Rohit Sachdeva incharge of N.C.C. Unit of the College and Dr. Nidhi Rani Gupta, Ranger Leader of Bharat Scouts and Guide Unit, Dr. Veenu Jain, Rover Scout Leader Dr. Rupinder Singh were honored for their outstanding services.
Incharge of Eco Club, Dr. Ashwani Sharma was honored for the planting process at the Botanical Garden, Herbal Garden, Campus. Dr. Manish Sharma was honored for his services for Solid Waste Management and Water Reuse. Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma was honored for his role in providing scholarships by Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust for the last seven years and Prof Shailendra Sidhu for her services in safety, grievances redressal and facilities for girls. Dr. Nishan Singh was honored for the excellent performance of the college sports persons. On this occasion, Principal, Arya Girls Senior Secondary School, Patiala Mrs Santosh Goyal was also honored for her services.
The stage was conducted by Prof. Shailendra Sidhu and the vote of thanks was shared by Prof Ved Prakash Sharma. Apart from the students, a large number of college staff were also present on the occasion.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਭਾਈ ਘਨੱਈਆ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ, ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ‘ਮਿਸਾਲੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ’ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਰਿਟਾਇਰਡ ਆਈ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਐਮ.ਡੀ. (ਪੀ.ਆਰ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ.), ਸ੍ਰ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਰੰਗ, ਰਿਡਾਇਰਡ ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਜੇਲ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਸਕੂਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਕੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਭਾਈ ਘਨੱਈਆ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਕਾਕਾ ਰਾਮ ਵਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਰਸਮੀ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਭਰੇ ਲਹਿਜੇ ‘ਚ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਾ. ਸਰਵਪੱਲੀ ਰਾਧਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਨ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੋੜਵੇਂ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਨਿੱਜਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਬਿਹਤਰੀ ਲਈ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸ੍ਰ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਰੰਗ ਨੇ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਵਪੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਹਦ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਦੀ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਸਵਾਰਥ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਮਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ।
ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਕੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹਨ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਯੋਗ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਸਦਕਾ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੇ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪੌੜੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਬਦੌਲਤ ਉਹ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੁੱਜ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਗਠਿਤ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਨਦਾਨ ਕੈਂਪ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਚੇਤਨਾ, ਸਿਹਤ, ਔਰਤ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਬਦਲੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ. (ਲੜਕੇ) ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ. (ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੀ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਨਿਧੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਭਾਰਤ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਗਾਈਡਜ਼ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਰੇਂਜਰ ਲੀਡਰ ਡਾ. ਵੀਨੂੰ ਜੈਨ, ਰੋਵਰ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਲੀਡਰ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਹਤਰੀਨ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਈਕੋ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਟੈਨੀਕਲ ਗਾਰਡਨ, ਹਰਬਲ ਗਾਰਡਨ, ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਜਦੋਂਕਿ ਡਾ. ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਲਿਡ ਵੇਸਟ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ, ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਮੁੜ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਲਈ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ 7 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਵਜ਼ੀਫ਼ਾ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ੈਲੇਂਦਰਾ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ, ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ‘ਚ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਦਕਾ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਕਾ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਜਿੱਤਣ ‘ਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਰੀਆ ਗਰਲਜ਼ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਮਿਸ ਸੰਤੋਸ਼ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ੈਲੇਂਦਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਭਰਵੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ‘ਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਰਿਹਾ।
