Modi College conducts a workshop on AI

The Institution’s Innovation Council of Multani Mal Modi College organised a workshop for students on “Leveraging AI for Education” on 29th Jan, 2026. The resource person was Ms. Deshna Jain from Birla Institute of Technology-Pilani-School of Management, Mumbai.

Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal welcomed the speaker and discussed the merits and demerits of using AI. He motivated students to use AI responsibly and efficiently. The speaker deliberated on the basics of prompt engineering, introduced the students to a few new AI tools, and also taught them to refine their prompts as well. Around 150 students actively participated in the workshop. Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Convenor, IIC, essayed that this event has been conducted under the IIC-MIC-driven initiative titled “AI for Atmanirbhar Bharat” for accelerating AI awareness, adoption, and capacity building across the higher education ecosystem. Dr. Harleen Kaur, Member of the IIC, conducted the stage. Dr. Harjinder Singh, Member of the IIC, proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Veenu Jain, Dr. Maninderdeep Cheema, and faculty from the departments of Commerce and Computers were also present.
