Sazia Jindal’s Innovative Hybrid Knife Design Secures Protection under India’s Designs Act, 2000

Sazia Jindal, a student of BA Part 1 at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, has successfully registered her innovative hybrid knife design with the Patent Office, Government of India. The design, which combines the functions of a knife, wrench, and bottle opener, has been classified under class 07-03 as per patent classification.
Dr. Neeraj Goyal, Principal, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala congratulated her and said, s “We are pleased to see Sazia Jindal’s innovative design receive recognition and protection under India’s Designs Act, 2000. This achievement is a testament to her creativity and technical skills. Sazia Jindal told that this unique tool features hexagonal holes on the blade, allowing it to be used as a wrench for nuts and bolts, making it a valuable asset for everyday use. Notably, this design can be kept in cars, as it is considered a tool rather than a conventional knife.
The team behind this innovation has secured protection under India’s Designs Act, 2000, safeguarding their intellectual property. This design showcases the ingenuity of Indian designers and highlights the country’s growing innovation ecosystem.
Patenting an invention provides the owner with exclusive rights to make, use, and sell the invention for a specified period, preventing others from copying or profiting from it without permission. This protection encourages innovation, promotes creativity, and provides a competitive edge in the market.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਸਾਜ਼ੀਆ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਹਾਈਬ੍ਰਿਡ ਚਾਕੂ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਐਕਟ, 2000 ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੇਟੈਂਟ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।ਇਹ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਚਾਕੂ, ਰੈਂਚ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਤਲ ਉਪਨਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਟੈਂਟ ਵਰਗੀਕਰਣ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੈਣੀ 07-03 ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰਗਤ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘’ ਸਾਜ਼ੀਆ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਹਾਈਬ੍ਰਿਡ ਚਾਕੂ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਅਹਿਮ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਹੁਨਰ ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਕੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।“
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਸਾਜ਼ੀਆ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਟੂਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲੇਡ ਤੇ ਹੈਕਸਗੋਨਲ ਛੇਕਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਟ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਲਣ ਲਈ ਰੈਂਚ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਲਈ ਉਪਯੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਦਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਐਕਟ, 2000 ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਸੰਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਈਕੋਸਿਸਟਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਜ਼ਾਫਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਸ ਖੋਜ ਦੀ ਨਕਲ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਯੋਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
