The students of Modi College won 43 medals in Khelo India Youth Games-2023

The students of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala has brought laurels by winning 18 Gold, 18 Silver and 7 Bronze medals in Rowing, Judo, Archery, Athletics and Football games that were organised under the title ‘KHELO INDIA YOUTH GAMES – 2023’
The College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the players and said that our college is committed to provide every kind of facilities to the players. He said that in Khelo India Youth Games, Universities of all states participated in it and our college players has won over other universities students. The players are well deserved for congratulations for their performance.
The students who has won in Rowing, Judo, Archery, Athletics and Football games are as follows:
The Rowing team of Punjabi University, Patiala has won 15 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals and has won overall second position. In this, Krishan Pande and Ravi has won Gold Medal in 500 metre Men’s Pair Event and they have also won silver Medal in 2km Men’s Pair Event. Karanbir Singh, Shobhit Pandey, Sourabh Singh and Jaspal Singh have won Gold Medal in Quadruple Scull Event. Karanbir Singh and in 2km event. Arvind Singh Maan, Randhir Singh Gill and Sukhwinder Singh have won Gold Medal in Coxless Four Event. They have won bronze medal in 500 metre competition. Karanbir Singh, Shobit Pandey, Sourabh Singh and Jaspal Singh have won bronze medal in Quadruple Scull Event. Hence, the students of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala and Punjabi University, Patiala have brought laurels.
In the same manner Monty, the student of Modi College, a player in Punjabi University Judo team has won Gold Medal in 73kg weight category. Sidharth Singh Rawat has won Silver Medal in 66kg weight category. The Judo team has won overall championship in this competition.
In the same manner Eklavya has won Gold Medal in compound team event of Archery. Pawan and Ravi Kumar have won Silver medal in Recurve team event and Pawan has also won individual Recuve event. With these medals the Punjabi University Archery Team became overall champion in Archery.
In Athletic Competition Sahil, the students of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala has won Gold medal in 20 km Walk Competition as a member of Punjabi University, Patiala team. Harjot Singh has also brought laurels to Modi College by winning silver medal in 4×400 relay race.
The Punjabi University Football team has won silver medal and got second position in Khelo India Youth Games 2023. In this team, Ranbir Singh Kahlon, Gurfareed Singh Randhawa, Tejbir Singh, Ravinder Singh, Govind, Ramanpreet Singh, Lovedeep Singh were the students of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala.
Dr. Nishan Singh, the head and dean of Sports Department of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala congratulated the players and said that he is proud of his department and is hopeful that there will be the best performance in upcoming competitions. In this event, Dr. Harneet Singh and Prof. Mandeep Kaur were also present.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਖੇਲੋ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਯੂਥ ਗੇਮਸ-2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤੇ 43 ਤਮਗ਼ੇ
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ 23 ਮਈ ਤੋਂ 3 ਜੂਨ 2023 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲਖਨਉ (ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼) ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਹੋਈਆਂ ‘ਖੇਲੋ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਯੂਥ ਗੇਮਸ-2023′ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ, ਜੂਡੋ, ਆਰਚਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਥਲੈਟਿਕਸ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 18 ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ, 18 ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ 7 ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ‘ਖੇਲੋ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਯੂਥ ਗੇਮਸ‘ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਰ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ, ਜੂਡੋ, ਆਰਚਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਥਲੈਟਿਕਸ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸਨ:
‘ਖੇਲੋ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਯੂਥ ਗੇਮਸ-2023′ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਰੋਇੰਗ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ 15 ਸੋਨ ਤਮਗੇ, 6 ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਅਤੇ 7 ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਜੇਤੂ ਰੋਇੰਗ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਂਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਵੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਨ ਪੇਅਰ 500 ਮੀਟਰ ਈਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਨ ਪੇਅਰ 2 ਕਿਲੋਮਿਟਰ ਈਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਪਾਂਡੇ, ਸੌਰਭ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕੁਆਡਰੁਪਲ ਸਕੱਲਜ਼ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਪਾਂਡੇ ਨੇ ਡੱਬਲ ਸਕੱਲ 500 ਮੀਟਰ ਅਤੇ 2 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਇਵੇਂਟਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤੇ।ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੋਕਸ ਲੇਸ 4 ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਰਣਧੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ, ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਕੋਕਸ ਲੇਸ 4 ਵਿੱਚ 2 ਕਿਲੋਮਿਟਰ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਦੇ 500 ਮੀਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਪਾਂਡੇ, ਸੌਰਭ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕੁਆਡਰੁਪਲ ਸਕੱਲਜ਼ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੋਇੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਜੂਡੋ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ 73 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਮੋਂਟੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਅਤੇ 66 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਧਾਰਥ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਵਤ ਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਬਣਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ।
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਆਰਚਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਇਕਲਵੱਯ ਨੇ ਕੰਪਾਉਂਡ ਟੀਮ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ, ਪਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਵੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਰਿਕਰਵ ਟੀਮ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਨ ਨੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਰਿਕਰਵ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਮਗਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਦਕਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਆਰਚਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਬਣੀ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਅਥਲੈਟਿਕਸ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ 20 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਵਾਕ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸਾਹਿਲ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਅਤੇ 4400 ਰਿਲੇ ਰੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਚਮਕਾਇਆ।
‘ਖੇਲੋ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਯੂਥ ਗੇਮਸ-2023′ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਟੀਮ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਰਣਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਹਲੋਂ, ਗੁਰਫਰੀਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੰਧਾਵਾ, ਤੇਜਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੋਵਿੰਦ, ਰਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਲਵਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ੳਹ ਅਗਲੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਵਧੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨਗੇ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ।
