Modi College Shines at Punjabi University Inter-College Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championship; Ranvijay Singh Chahal Declared Best Swimmer

Swimmers of the Multani Mal Modi College brought laurels to the college by winning the Inter-College Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championship organized by Punjabi University Patiala and held at the Government Swimming Pool, Patiala. The college swimmers delivered an outstanding performance, winning an impressive 32 medals, including 16 Gold, 12 Silver and 4 Bronze medals, bringing laurels to the institution.
The championship witnessed remarkable sporting talent, determination, and competitive spirit among the participants. Ranvijay Singh Chahal emerged as the star performer of the championship, clinching 10 Gold Medals and earning the prestigious title of Best Swimmer.
Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal congratulated the medal winners on their exceptional achievements and appreciated their dedication, discipline, and perseverance. He emphasized that the college remains committed to promoting sports and providing students with opportunities to excel in various sporting disciplines.
Flying Officer Dr. Sumeet Kumar, Dean Sports, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the swimmers.
Dr. Nishan Singh, Head of the Department, and the Dean Students’ Welfare also appreciated the remarkable achievements of the swimmers. He commended the efforts of the Department of Sports and Miss Mandeep Kaur for their valuable contribution towards nurturing sporting talent and encouraging students to participate in competitive sports.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਤੈਰਾਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਵੀਮਿੰਗ ਪੂਲ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਤੈਰਾਕੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਤੈਰਾਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੁੱਲ 32 ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 16 ਸੋਨੇ, 12 ਚਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ 4 ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਖੇਡ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ, ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਇਰਾਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਰਣਵਿਜੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਾਹਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਭਰੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 10 ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ‘ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਤੈਰਾਕ’ ਦਾ ਮਾਣਮੱਤਾ ਖ਼ਿਤਾਬ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਤਮਗਾ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।
ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ, ਨੇ ਵੀ ਤੈਰਾਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੁਖੀ, ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਭਲਾਈ, ਨੇ ਵੀ ਤੈਰਾਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸ ਮੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੇਡ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਪਨ ਮਾਣਮੱਤੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਤੈਰਾਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
