Modi College wins Punjabi University Gymnastics (Boys and Girls) Overall Inter-College Championship
Multani Mal Modi College has won the Punjabi University Inter-College Gymnastics (Boys and Girls) Overall Championship. This championship was organized at Polo Ground, Patiala under the guidelines of Punjabi University, Patiala. The Gymnastics (Boys) Team of Modi College secured first position and D.B.C. Dhuri team got second place in this competition. In Gymnastics (Girls) Artistic and Rhythmic events competition Modi College Girls team secured first positions. On arriving at the college, Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the team members and assured that college will keep on providing the best facilities to the college sports persons.
Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Dean, Sports of the College appreciated the winning team. He informed that College team was comprised of Aryan, Mehul, Sujeet Kumar, Gurdeep, Roshan Karki and Manish Kumar. Gymnastics (Girls) team of Artistic event Vishnu, Priyanka, Alka, Meera and Jaspreet performed very well. Similarly in Rhythmic event Anjli Thapa, Prabhsimran and Kavita performed well. Principal Dr. Khushviner Kumar applauded the sincere efforts of Dr. Nishan Singh, Head, Sports Dept., Prof. Harneet Singh, and Prof. (Ms.) Mandeep Kaur.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਪੋਲੋ ਗ੍ਰਾਉਂਡ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੰਪਨ ਹੋਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਜਿਮਨਾਸਟਿਕਸ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ (ਲੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਦਮਿਕ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਆਰਟਿਸਟਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਫ਼ਿਜ਼ਿਕਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਅਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਹੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਰਿਅਨ, ਮੇਹੁਲ, ਸੁਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਗੁਰਦੀਪ, ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਾਰਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਖੇਡ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਰਟੀਸਟਿਕ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂ, ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰਕਾ, ਅਲਕਾ, ਮੀਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਿਦਮਿਕ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਜਲੀ ਥਾਪਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭਸਿਮਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਖੇਡ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡਮ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਯਤਨਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
