M. M. Modi College Patiala bags Punjabi University Inter College Lawn Tennis (Men) Championship
Multani Mal Modi College bagged Punjabi University Inter College Lawn Tennis (Men) Championship by defeating Punjabi University Campus team by a huge margin. The tournament was held at M M Modi College, Patiala during 12-13 October, 2015. The winning team comprised Ronit Singh Bisht, Ajay Yadav, Uday Partap Singh, Kunwar Sohrab and Mohanjit Singh.
National College of Physical Education, Chupki got 3rd position and Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala remained at fourth place.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the winning teams and gave away the trophy to the Champion Team. Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Dean (Sports) of the college appreciated the performance of the players and lauded the hard work done by College Sports Officer, Mr. Nishan Singh, Ms. Mandeep Kaur and the team coach Mr. Parvesh Kumar. A large number of students and teachers were present during the tournament.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਲਾਅਨ ਟੈਨਿਸ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ
ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਹੋਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਲਾਅਨ ਟੈਨਿਸ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਮੈਚ ਵਿਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਫਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੌਨਿਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿਸ਼ਟ, ਅਜੇ ਯਾਦਵ, ਉਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕੁੰਵਰ ਸੋਹਰਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
ਇਸ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਵਿਚ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ਼ ਫਿਜ਼ੀਕਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਚੁਪਕੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਚੌਥੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੀ।
ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਟਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ (ਸਪੋਰਟਸ) ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡਮ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ।
