Inter-Institutional Science Fair on the theme “Science, Sustainability and Innovation for Viksit Bharat” held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2026 on the theme of ‘Science, Sustainability and Innovation for Viksit Bharat’with the objective of promoting scientific temperament, creativity, innovation, and intellectual curiosity among students, ultimately contributing to the development and progress of our great nation. The event provided a dynamic platform for young scientific minds from various educational institutions, schools and colleges, to showcase their innovative ideas, scientific models, robotics and poster presentations.

This year more than 300 hundred students from 21 schools and 8 colleges and other educational institutions participated in Science Fair and presented their models, robotics and posters.

College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal inaugurated the fair and said that the theme “Science, Sustainability and Innovation for “Viksit Bharat” underscores the pivotal role of scientific advancement, sustainable practices, and innovative thinking in shaping a self-reliant, environmentally responsible, and developed India, while inspiring young minds to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.

Prof. (Dr.) Jagvinder Singh Mann, Principal, Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Patiala graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Appreciating the ingenuity and enthusiasm displayed by the participants, Dr. Mann emphasized that interdisciplinary collaboration, experimentation, and research-driven solutions are essential for technological advancement.

Dr. Dinesh Kumar, recipient of National Teachers’ Award 2026 was the Guest of Honour. He encouraged students to look beyond conventional learning and embrace emerging technologies that can contribute to India’s transformation into a global leader in science and technology

Vice principal Prof. Jagdeep Kaur, and coordinators of the Science Fair Dr. Sanjay Kumar and Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, congratulated the winners and said that such events are essential to inculcate scientific temperament and vigour among the students.

The Organizing Secretaries of the event, Dr. Varun Jain, Dr. Bhanvi Wadhawan and Dr. Santosh Bala, elaborated on the various themes and subthemes of the Science Fair, highlighting their relevance to scientific advancement, sustainability, and innovation. They encouraged students to strive for excellence in their chosen fields of science and technology, thereby contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

In this Science Fair, Dr. Kishanpal Singh, Department of Chemistry, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Jaskaran Singh, Department of Physics, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Arpit Sharma and Dr. Gurlovleen Kaur, Department of Biotechnology, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Abhinav Saxena, Department of Zoology, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Amit Sareen, Department of Botany, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Nipunjot Kaur, Department of Biotechnology, Khalsa College, Patiala,Dr. Yogita Sarwal, Govt. College of Education, Patiala, Dr. Rupy Dhir, Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College, Patiala, Dr. Inderpreet Singh Grover, Department of Chemistry, Public College, Samana, Dr. Jyoti Saini, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala, Dr. Richa Bansal, Environmental Sciences, Govt. College for Women, Patiala, Dr. Sandeep Kaur, Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. College for Women, Patiala and Dr. Dalvir Kaur, Dept. of Botany, PMN College, Rajpura served as judges for various Models and Posters presentation competitions. The Robotics event was judged by Mr. Himanshu Singh Thakur, Robotics Trainer & Electronics Engineer.

In the School Section category in Poster Presentation competition, the first position was won by Parvjit Singh and Harsleen Kaur from Delhi Public School, Patiala jointly with Madhav Soni and Prabhneet kaur from Shivalik public School, Patiala. The second position was also jointly bagged by Manjot kaur and Ramneet kaur from Senior Secondary Model School, Patiala and Vanshika and Sukhmanpreet kaur from Modern Senior Secondry School, Patiala.

In the Static Model Category the first position was won by Anwesha Fatima from Delhi Public School, Patiala and Aarav Bhatt and Sanvi Goyal from DAV Public school, Patiala jointly and the second position was jointly bagged by Ravleen Kaur and Bhawana from Shivalik Public School, Patiala and Mansi and Himani of Shivalik Public School, Patiala.

In the Working Model Category the first position was won by Alamjeet Singh and Azad Singh from Delhi Public School, Patiala jointly with Divyam Mayank from Shivalik Public School. The second position was jointly bagged by Loveleen kaur and Sahil Dhiman from Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Patiala.

In the school category in Robotics competitions, Bhavnoor Singh and Devansh Goyal from Budda Dal Public School and Ajinkya Sharma and Namanjot singh from Delhi Public school. The second position in this category was won by Mankirat kaur and Hiten Gupta from DAV Public School, Patiala.

In the college section, in the Poster Presentation category the first position was won by Diya Singh and Nitin Sharma from Government State College of Education, Patiala and the second position was jointly bagged by Sanjana from Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala and Karanveer Singh from khalsa College, Patiala.

In the Static Model Category (College section) the first position was won by Kashish and Sonia from Government State College of Education, Patiala and the second position was jointly bagged by Simranjeet Kaur and Aryan Singh from Government State College of Education, Patiala.

In the Working Model Category the first position was won by Parineeta and Shreya from Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala. The Second position was jointly bagged by Tripti Garg and Jasnoor Kaur from Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala and Reha Sharma and Neha Saini from University College, Moonak.

The event was successfully coordinated and organized through the collective efforts of all faculty members of the Departments of Biotechnology and Food Technology, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology.Dr. Bhanvi Wadhawan conducted the stage and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Varun Jain.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ “ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਸਸਟੇਨੇਬਿਲਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਨੋਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਫਾਰ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ” ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲਾ-2026 ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ, ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ, ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਯੁਵਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਵੀਨ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ, ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ, ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕਸ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਢੁੱਕਵਾਂ ਮੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 21 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ 8 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ 300 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਇੱਕ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਉੱਨਤੀ, ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨ ਸੋਚ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਡੈਂਟਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਡਾ.) ਜਗਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ, ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ-ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਹੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ 2026 ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਡਾ. ਦਿਨੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧ ਕੇ ਉੱਭਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰਾਂ ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਆਰਗੇਨਾਈਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਸਕੱਤਰਾਂ ਡਾ. ਵਰੁਣ ਜੈਨ, ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਸੰਤੋਸ਼ ਬਾਲਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਤੇ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਰਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਡਾ. ਕਿਸ਼ਨਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਜਸਕਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਅਰਪਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਲਵਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਅਭਿਨਵ ਸਕਸੇਨਾ, ਡਾ. ਅਮਿਤ ਸਰੀਨ, ਡਾ. ਨਿਪੁੱੰਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਯੋਗਿਤਾ ਸਰਵਾਲ, ਡਾ. ਰੂਪੀ ਧੀਰ, ਡਾ. ਇੰਦਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਰੋਵਰ, ਡਾ. ਜਯੋਤੀ ਸੈਣੀ, ਡਾ. ਰਿਚਾ ਬਾਂਸਲ, ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਦਲਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਮਾਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ। ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕਸ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਦਾ ਜੱਜਮੈਂਟ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਹਿਮਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਠਾਕੁਰ (ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕਸ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਰ) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਵਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਹਰਸ਼ਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਲਿਕ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਧਵ ਸੋਨੀ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਮਾਡਲ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਮਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਰਮਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਮਾਡਰਨ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਖਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਟੈਟਿਕ ਮਾਡਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ. ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਅਨਵੇਸ਼ਾ ਫਾਤਿਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ.ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਆਰਵ ਭੱਟ ਤੇ ਸਾਨਵੀ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਜਦਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਲਿਕ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਰਵਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਸੀ ਤੇ ਹਿਮਾਨੀ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਆਲਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਲਿਕ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਦਿਵਯਮ ਮਯੰਕ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਮਾਰਟ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਲਵਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਲ ਧੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਲ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਭਵਨੂਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਸ਼ ਗੋਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ. ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਅਜਿੰਕਿਆ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਨਮਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਜਦਕਿ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਦੀ ਮਨਕੀਰਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਿਤੇਨ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਕਾਲਜ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਟੇਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ਼ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਦੀਆ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਨਿਤਿਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਜਦਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਸੰਜਨਾ ਤੇ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਕਰਨਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਟੈਟਿਕ ਮਾਡਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਟੇਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ਼ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਕਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਤੇ ਸੋਨੀਆ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਆਰੀਅਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਣੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਆ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਜਦਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਗਰਗ ਤੇ ਜਸਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮੂਨਕ ਦੀ ਰੇਹਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਨੇਹਾ ਸੈਣੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
