Inter-Institutional Science Fair on the theme “Science and Technology For Sustainable Development’’ held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2024 on the theme of ‘Science and Technology for Sustainable Development’ under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal. The Science Fair serves as a platform for the students to display their creativity and scientific understanding about recent trends in Science and Technology. This year 275 students from 16 schools and 9 college educational institutions presented their models and posters on the Environmental challenges and their Mitigation, Emerging Trends in Science and Technology, Biotechnology and Human Welfare, Biodiversity Conservation, Space Science, Mathematics in Human Life, Chemistry for a Better World, Health and Nutrition and Computers and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Ravinder Pal Sharma, Deputy DEO, Patiala presided over the function.

College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal welcomed the chief guest, judges and the students from various institutes and said that Science and Technology are two major driving forces for development of human civilization. By working together scientists can develop sustainable solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges, from public health to climate change and from food security to economic development.

In the valedictory function the chief Guest Prof. Surindera Lal, Member of the Management Committee said that global progress is directly proportional to the sustainable innovations in science and technology as only the long-term sustainability is capable of finding solutions of most of our contemporary problems.

Dr. Rajeev Sharma, coordinator of the function congratulated the winners and said that Science fairs are necessary to inculcate scientific temperament among the students.

Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Dean Life Sciences discussed the themes and subthemes of the fair with the students. He motivated the students to excel in their respective careers.

In the category of working and static models Dr. Karamjit Singh, Dr. Gurinderpal Kaur (for College Category) and Dr. Ambika Beri, Dr. Rommy Garg (For school category) were the judges. For the poster making competition Dr. Avneet Pal Singh and Dr. Ranjeeta Bhari (for College Category) and Prof Rupinder Kumar, Dr. Dinesh Kumar and Prof. Sudha Rani (School Category) adjudged the participants for the positions.

The winners were awarded with mementos and certificates. All the participants were given participation certificates. The results of various categories of winners are:

College Section:

Poster Presentation –First position was won by Parsi and Cristela of Asian Group of Colleges, Patiala. While second position was won by Sanchita Kaur and Sanjana of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, Shruti and Devya Sen of Mata Sahib Kaur Girls College of Education, Patiala. Third position was jointly won by Ashima Rani and Sarita of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala and Simranjeet Kaur and Karamjeet Kaur of Govt. State College of Education, Patiala.

Static Model Category – First position was won by Arvinder Kaur and Noorpreet Kaur of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala and second position was jointly bagged by Arshdeep Kaur and Simarjeet Kaur of Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala and Arzguru and Akashdeep Kaur of Govt. Ranbir College, Sangrur. Third position was jointly bagged by Dilpreet Singh of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala and Parmeet Kaur of University College, Ghanaur.

Working Model Category- First position was won by Siana and Gurvinder Singh Gorsi of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala. Second position was jointly bagged by Nancy and Trisha Sharma of University College, Ghanaur and Pankaj Goyal and Pallavi of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala.

School Section:

Poster Presentation – First position was won by Mankirat Kaur of DAV School, Patiala and Mankirat Kaur of Shivalik Public School, Patiala. Second position was jointly bagged by Anika Jain and Surbhi Suba of Our Lady Fatima Convent Sr. Sec. School, Patiala and Riya and Manmeet of Sr. Sec. Model School, Punjabi University, Patiala.

Jr. Static Model Category – First position was won by Idha Mahajan and Pranjal Malhotra of DAV Global School, Patiala. Second position was jointly bagged by Arnav Kumar and Ridhi Sood of DAV Global School, Patiala and Kanan and Aashika of Bhupindra International Public School, Patiala. Third position was jointly bagged by Tanvi and Bhairvi of Milestone Smart School, Patiala and Divyam and Mayank of Shivalik Public School, Patiala.

Jr. Working Model Category – First position was won by Sehajdeep Kaur and Avneet Kaur of Sr. Sec. Model School, Punjabi University, Patiala, Second position was jointly bagged by Jai Arora of Saint Peter’s Academy and Navjot Singh Rajpoot and Prabhjot Kaur of Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Civil Lines, Patiala. And Third position was bagged by Kirti Raj Kaur and Palakshi of Shivalik Public School, Patiala.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar and Dr. Varun Jain put special efforts to make the Science Fair a grand success. Dr. Bhanvi Wadhawan and Dr. Gaganpreeet Kaur conducted the stage and Dr. Kavita presented the vote of thanks.

 

 

 

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ‘ਸਿਸਟੇਨਬਲ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ‘ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ-2024 ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਦੇ ਰੁਝਾਨਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸਮਝ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ, ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ, ਬਾਇਓਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਕਲਿਆਣ, ਜੈਵ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ, ਪੁਲਾੜ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਿਤ, ਇੱਕ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਰਸਾਇਣ, ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਭਰ ਰਹੇ ਰੁਝਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਟੀਫੀਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ‘ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਡਾ. ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਡੀਈਓ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ, ਜੱਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਭਿਅਤਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਦੋ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਲਵਾਯੂ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ ਤੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੱਕ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦਬਾਅ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਹੱਲ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰਾ ਲਾਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਕਾਢਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਅਨੁਪਾਤਕ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕੇਵਲ ਲੰਮੀ ਮਿਆਦ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲੱਭਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ।

ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹਨ।

ਡਾ.ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡੀਨ ਲਾਈਫ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਥੀਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਬ ਥੀਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਮਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਲਾਂ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ

ਇਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਕਸ਼ੀਲ ਸੋਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਰ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਅਵਨੀਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਰੰਜੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਵਾਲੀਆ (ਕਾਲਜ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਲਈ) ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਅੰਬਿਕਾ ਬੇਰੀ, ਡਾ. ਰੋਮੀ ਗਰਗ (ਸਕੂਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਲਈ) ਜੱਜ ਸਨ। ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਵਾਲੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੰਜੀਤਾ ਭਾਰੀ (ਕਾਲਜ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਲਈ) ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਦਿਨੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਧਾ ਰਾਣੀ (ਸਕੂਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ) ਨੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਅਹੁਦਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ।

ਸਟੈਟਿਕ ਮਾਡਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ: ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਨੂਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦਾ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਣਬੀਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਦੇ ਅਰਜ਼ਗੁਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਘਨੌਰ ਦੀ ਪਰਮੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।

ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ: ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਾਇਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਰਸੀ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਂਝੀਵਾਲਤਾ ‘ਚ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਘਨੌਰ ਦੀ ਨੈਂਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਿਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪੰਕਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਲਵੀ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਕਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਮੂਨਕ ਦੇ ਕਰਨਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਨਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।

ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ: ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਕੈਂਡਰੀ ਮਾਡਲ ਸਕੂਲ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਜਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ‘ਚ ਸੇਂਟ ਪੀਟਰਜ਼ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਦੇ ਜੈਅ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਕੈਂਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ, ਸਿਵਲ ਲਾਈਨਜ਼ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਲਿਕ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਰਾਜ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਲਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਰਹੇ।

ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਵਰੁਣ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਨੇ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਮਤਾ ਡਾ. ਕਵਿਤਾ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
