Inter-Institutional Science Fair on the theme ‘Global Science for Global Well-Being’ held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala
Patiala: 20th October, 2023
Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2023 on the theme of ‘Global Science for Global Well-Being’ under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar. The Science Fair serves as a platform for the students to display their creativity and scientific understanding about recent trends in Science and Technology, Environmental issues, Biodiversity conservation, Biotechnology and human welfare, Physics for life, Mathematics for a better world and role of chemistry in human life. More than 400 students from various educational institutions including 8 colleges and 25 schools participated in Poster Presentations, Projects and Models (working and static).
Principal of the college Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the chief guest, judges and the students from various institutes and said that global science is critical to achieving global well-being. By working together scientists can develop sustainable solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges, from public health to climate change and from food security to economic development.
In the valedictory function the chief Guest Dr. Sanjeev Puri, Dean Physical Sciences and Dean ,MD-FYIP said that global well being is directly dependent on the development of science and technology as these two are capable of finding solutions of most of our contemporary problems.
Dr. Munruchi Kaur, Dean, Life Sciences and Director Human Resource Development Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala congratulated the winners and said that Science fairs are necessary to inculcate scientific temperament among the students. She appreciated the displayed models and posters.
Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Dean Life Sciences and Co-ordinator of the Science Fair discussed the themes and subthemes of the fair with the students. Organising Secretary of this fair Dr. Rajeev Sharma motivated the students to develop scientific temperament and logical thinking by participating in such events.
Dr. Neena Singla, Dr. Rommy Garg, Dr. Ambika Beri, Dr.Rachna Bhardwaj, Dr.Supreet Singh, Dr.Ritu, Dr. Rajeev Mall, Dr.Dinesh Sharma,Dr.Nipunjot Kaur and Dr.Amit Sareen adjudged the participants for the various positions.
The winners were awarded with mementos and certificates. All the participants were given participation certificates. The results of various categories of winners are:

Poster Presentation – First position was won jointly by Ishpreet Kaur and Gunveer Kaur from Budha Dal Public School, Patiala and Kanshika and Harpreet from Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School, Patiala. The second position in this section was won by Vibha Pathak and Vanshika Pathak from DPS, Patiala and Rajeev Singh and Tanmay from Senior Secondry Model School, Punjabi University, Patiala.
Static Model Category – First position was won by Shivan Goyal and Jasmaan Singh Bhatti of Budda Dal Public School, Patiala and second position was jointly bagged by Lubhinka and Gurleen from Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Patiala and Akshita Bhatt and Parth Bansal from DAV Global School, Patiala and Saranya Sharma and Kashish from DPS, Patiala.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ‘ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਐਂਡ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਵੈਲ-ਬੀਇੰਗ‘ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ‘ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ-2023 ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ, ਜੈਵ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ, ਬਾਇਓਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਕਲਿਆਣ, ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਇੱਕ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਗਣਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸਾਇਣ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸਮਝ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ 8 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ 25 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ 400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ, ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ (ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਰ) ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ, ਜੱਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹਨ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੱਦਾਂ-ਸਰਹੱਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੇਰਿਆਂ ਤੋ ਪਾਰ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਲ-ਜੁੱਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਲਵਾਯੂ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੱਕ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਹੱਲ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੀਵ ਪੁਰੀ, ਡੀਨ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ, ਐਮਡੀ-ਐਫਵਾਈਆਈਪੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦੀ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤੀ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ‘ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲੱਭਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ। .
ਡਾ: ਮੁਨਰੁਚੀ ਕੌਰ, ਡੀਨ, ਲਾਈਫ ਸਾਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਹਿਊਮਨ ਰਿਸੋਰਸ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਸੈਂਟਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਡਾ: ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡੀਨ ਲਾਈਫ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪ-ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਡਾ: ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਕਸ਼ੀਲ ਸੋਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਡਾ.ਨੀਨਾ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ, ਡਾ. ਰੋਮੀ ਗਰਗ, ਡਾ. ਅੰਬਿਕਾ ਬੇਰੀ, ਡਾ.ਰਚਨਾ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ, ਡਾ. ਸੁਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ.ਰੀਤੂ, ਡਾ.ਰਾਜੀਵ ਮੱਲ, ਡਾ.ਦਿਨੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ.ਨਿਪੁਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ.ਅਮਿਤ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ- ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਤਗ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਕ ਪਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਸਮੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਸਟੈਟਿਕ ਮਾਡਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ – ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਲ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਵਨ ਗੋਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਮਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੱਟੀ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਲੁਭਾਵਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਲੀਨ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਅਕਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਭੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਥ ਬਾਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਰੀਨਿਆ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵੀ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੀ।
ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਕੈਟਾਗਰੀ – ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਲ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਮਨਕੀਰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਕੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਵਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸੇਂਟ ਪੀਟਰਜ਼ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਦੇ ਜੈ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਹਰਮਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਮਨਫੁਲ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ, ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਲ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ ਨੇ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
