The Youth Red Cross Unit at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala commemorated World Health Day, 2025 by hosting a slogan writing event aimed at promoting health-related messages. This day celebrates the anniversary of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) establishment in 1948. The theme for World Health Day 2025 is “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures.” Dr. Neeraj Goyal, the college principal, emphasized the significance of this observance, stating that it enhances awareness and motivates individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles and make informed health choices. The event was coordinated by Dr. Heena Sachdeva, with participation from 44 students across B.Sc. I, II, and III Medical classes. Participants crafted slogans such as “Your health is your power; nourish it, protect it, celebrate it”, “The first wealth is health”, “Stay healthy, live long”, and “Replace fries with fruits”, conveying the message that a healthy lifestyle promotes longevity and rejuvenates both body and mind. Good health is fundamental to overall happiness. Present at the event were Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Controller of Examinations and Dean of Life Sciences, and Dr. Varun Jain, Deputy Controller of Examinations, who congratulated the students on their involvement and encouraged future participation in similar initiatives. The success of the event was greatly supported by Dr. Maninder (Department of Botany).
