Dr. Heena Sachdeva and Dr. Manish Sharma of MM Modi College Secure Design Patent for Innovative Insect Display System
Dr. Heena Sachdeva and Dr. Manish Sharma, Assistant Professors in the Department of Zoology at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, have been granted a Design Patent by the Patent Office, Government of India, for their innovative creation titled “Automated Rotating Insect Display Cabinet for Museums and Research.” The patented design is aimed at improving the display, preservation, and examination of insect specimens in museums, educational institutions, and research laboratories through an automated rotating mechanism that enhances specimen visibility and accessibility.
Congratulating the inventors on this significant achievement, Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal expressed pride in the accomplishment and described it as a reflection of the college’s commitment to research, innovation, and academic excellence. He stated that the recognition accorded by the Patent Office, Government of India, acknowledges the originality and practical utility of the invention and brings laurels to the institution.
