Multani Mal Modi College Pays Tribute to Nation’s Freedom Fighters on 79th Independence Day

As the tricolor unfurls and the national anthem echoes through the lawns of Multani Mal Modi College Patiala, the institution comes alive with the spirit of patriotism and unity. The college’s NCC wings orchestrated a poignant celebration of India’s 79th Independence Day, paying homage to the brave sons and daughters of the nation who fought tirelessly for freedom. In the programme the national flag was hoisted by Vice principal of the college Dr. Rajeev Sharma.
Dr. Neeraj Goyal, Principal of Multani Mal Modi College Patiala in a special message said that , “As we commemorate the 79th anniversary of our independence, we honor the indomitable spirit of our freedom fighters, who with unwavering resolve and unrelenting passion, paved the way for our nation’s progress. Let us rekindle the flame of patriotism that burns within us and work towards building a nation that our forefathers envisioned.”
The celebration was a kaleidoscope of cultural programs, including soul-stirring patriotic songs, energetic and thought-provoking words by NCC cadets who brought to life the struggles and triumphs of India’s freedom struggle. An awareness rally was also organized, spreading the message of national unity and integrity.
The event was graced by the presence of faculty members, including Dr. Sumeet Kumar, Flying Officer 3Pb Air wing, Lt. Dr. Nidhi Rani Gupta ANO10 Pb. Bn. Dr. Varun Jain, Sh. Ajay Gupta and all non-teaching staff who added to the fervor and significance of the occasion.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Nidhi Rani Gupta, who lauded the efforts of students, staff, and faculty members for making the celebration a grand success.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਜ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਗੀਤ ਦੀ ਗੂੰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿਰੰਗਾ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਏਕਤਾ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ । ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐਨਸੀਸੀ ਵਿੰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ 79ਵੇਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਲਈ ਅਣਥੱਕ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿਰੰਗਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ।
ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ 79ਵੀਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇਗੰਢ ਮਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਘੁਲਾਟੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਅਤੇ ਅਟੱਲ ਜਨੂੰਨ ਨਾਲ, ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਓ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਲਦੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਲਾਟ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਗਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੀਏ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਲਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।”
ਇਹ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ, ਐਨਸੀਸੀ ਕੈਡਿਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਊਰਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ । ਇੱਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਰੈਲੀ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜੋ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਖੰਡਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਫੈਲਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ 3 ਪੀਬੀ ਏਅਰ ਵਿੰਗ, ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਡਾ. ਨਿਧੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਏ.ਐਨ.ਓ. 10 ਪੀਬੀ, ਡਾ. ਵਰੁਣ ਜੈਨ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਜੇ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੈਰ-ਅਧਿਆਪਨ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਧੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਦੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ, ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
