Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala Organizes Blood Donation Camp and Essay Writing Competition

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala and the NSS, NCC wings, and Red Ribbon Club of the college to promote the concept of ‘ Khoondaan –Mahadaan’ and to fulfil the increased demand for blood units due to higher rate of dengue patients. During blood donation camp 48 units of blood were collected.

The medical team was led by Dr. Mariyada and Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, along with their team. The NSS team, led by Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Dr. Devinder Singh and Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, played a significant role in the organization of the camp. The NCC team, led by flying officer Dr. Sumeet Kumar, Dr. Rohit Sachdeva, and Dr. Nidhi Rani Gupta, also motivated the students to participate in the camp.

The faculty members who donated blood included Dr. Sumeet Kumar, Dr. Rohit Sachdeva, Dr. Devinder Singh, and Prof. Harpreet Singh. The non-teaching staff, including Tarlochan Singh, Deepak Prasad, and Bunty, also donated the blood.

An ‘Essay writing competition’ was collectively organized by the Departments of Computer science, English, Hindi and Punjabi in which students from all departments and streams participated and expressed their ideas and opinions on ‘ AI in education : enhancing human potential or hindering independent thought?’ ‘India’s climate dilemma: can growth and sustainability co-exist?’ ‘Land pooling policy in Punjab: Pathway to progress or policy pitfall?’ ‘Reviving Indian languages: preserving identity or embracing global relevance?’ and ‘Trade barriers and India: penalty or push towards Atamnirbhar Bharat?’.The competition was conducted in English, Punjabi and Hindi. The first position in this competition was won by Yashika Sharma and Jashan Sharma from BA part-1, second position was bagged by Muskan from B.com-II and third prize won by Sanjana from Bsc. Part II. The competition was coordinated by Dr.Harmohan Sharma, Dean, Co-curricular activities, Dr. Vaneet kaur, Dr.Veerpal kaur and Dr. Rupinder Sharma.

 

 

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਖੂਨਦਾਨ ਕੈਂਪ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਹ ਕੈਂਪ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ, ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ ਵਿੰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੈੱਡ ਰਿਬਨ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੁਆਰਾ ‘ਖੂੰਨਦਾਨ-ਮਹਾਂਦਾਨ’ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਦਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਖੂਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਧਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।ਇਸ ਖੂਨਦਾਨ ਕੈਂਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ 48 ਯੂਨਿਟ ਖੂਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਕੈਂਪ ਦੀ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਡਾ. ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਕੈਂਪ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਲੈਂਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਡਾ. ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੈਂਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਡਾ. ਨਿਧੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਖੂਨਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡਾ. ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ, ਡਾ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਤਰਲੋਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦੀਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਟੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਗੈਰ-ਅਧਿਆਪਨ ਸਟਾਫ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਖੂਨਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਮੋਦੀ ਜੈਅੰਤੀ ਵੀਕ ਦੇ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ, ਹਿੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ‘ਨਿਬੰਧ ਲਿਖਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ’ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਆਈ: ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਸੋਚ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣਾ?’ ‘ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਜਲਵਾਯੂ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ: ਕੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਸਹਿ-ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ?’ ‘ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈਂਡ ਪੂਲਿੰਗ ਨੀਤੀ: ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਨੀਤੀਗਤ ਖਤਰਾ?’ ‘ਭਾਰਤੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਨਾ: ਪਛਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਵਿਆਪੀ ਸਾਰਥਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਉਣਾ?’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਵਪਾਰਕ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ: ਆਤਮਨਿਰਭਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਧੱਕਾ ?’ ‘ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਹ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਬੀਏ ਭਾਗ-1 ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਬੀ.ਕਾਮ-2 ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਭਾਗ-2 ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੰਜਨਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡੀਨ, ਸਹਿ-ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ, ਡਾ. ਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਵੀਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ।
