78th Independence Day Celebrated at Multani Mal Modi College with traditional fervor and gaiety

The 78th Independence Day of Indian republic was celebrated on 15 August 2024 at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala. The college premise was decorated in the memory of freedom fighters and martyrs of Indian freedom struggle.
The Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal hoisted the national flag in the presence of NCC wings of the college, staff and students followed by National Anthem. The NCC cadets presented a Guard of Honour and Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal took the Salute and inspected the NCC Parade. While addressing the students and staff, the principal remembered the sacrifices and struggles of those Indians who laid down their lives at the altar of India’s freedom. He spoke at length about the hopes and dreams of new India and motivated the students to work for the unity of our nation.
The NCC cadets presented NCC song, group songs and solo songs. A special speech on 78th Independence Day was delivered by Lance Corporal Chirag Pathak and Cadet Tarunpreet.
Associate NCC Officer Lt Dr. Rohit Sachdeva (Dean Academics), ANO Lt. Dr. Nidhi Rani Gupta, Dr Varun Jain (Deputy Controller), Dr Kavita, Mr Jaswinder Singh, Mr Ram Achal, Mr Kulbir Singh, Mr Ram Dulare and other staff members were also present in this event.
