151st Modi Jayanti celebrated at Multani Mal Modi College Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, today organised a Hawan Yajna on the occasion of 151st Modi Jayanti. A week-long academic, literary, and skill-based competition and activities were organised to remember the legacy of the visionary founder and to pay obeisance to Rai Bahadur Seth Multani Mal Modi ji. The Chairman of the college is Seth. Sudarshan Kumar Modi Ji, Vice Chairman Seth Tarun Kumar Modi, and Seth. Ayush Modi Ji congratulated the staff and students. Prof. Surindra Lal from the Management Committee of the college said that he was one of the leading social reformers in North India who believed in the transformation of society through the power of education and knowledge.

College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal, while remembering the legacy of the founder of the college, said that he used education as a medium for bringing social change and to develop a multidisciplinary space for critical thinking. His vision is our guiding force, and the society should be thankful to him for his selfless service. He said that our college is committed to providing quality education for weak and marginalised sections of our society.

During the week-long celebrations, various competitions and skill-based activities were organized to engage the students. The college successfully hosted the Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2026 based on the theme “Science, Sustainability, and Innovation for Viksit Bharat.” The event was organised to foster scientific temperament, creativity, innovation, and intellectual curiosity among students, providing a vibrant platform for young scientific minds from 21 schools and 8 colleges to display their innovative models, robotics, and poster presentations and to highlight the critical role of scientific advancement, sustainable practices, and innovative thinking in shaping a self-reliant, environmentally responsible, and developed India.

During this week the college, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), organized an extension lecture for B.Com. students to raise awareness about career opportunities in Chartered Accountancy (CA) and Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA). The session opened with welcome remarks from Prof. Parminder Kaur, Head of the Commerce Department, followed by detailed presentations from ICAI guest speakers CA Ankush Gupta and Japneet Singh. They provided students with valuable insights into course structures, eligibility criteria, examination patterns, and career prospects in accounting, taxation, and finance.

On the auspicious occasion of Modi Jayanti celebrations, all staff members were present in the ceremony, who prayed for peace and harmony in our world.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ 151ਵੀਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹਵਨ ਯੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਜਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ।ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਦੂਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸੰਸਥਾਪਕ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਠ ਰਾਏ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ,ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਸੇਠ. ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ, ਵਾਈਸ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਸੇਠ ਤਰੁਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਠ. ਆਯੂਸ਼ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਮੋਹਰੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੁਧਾਰਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਪਕ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੌਕਤ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਰਤਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਰਸ਼ਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਹਸਵਾਰਥ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਸ਼ੀਏ ‘ਤੇ ਧੱਕੇ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ “ਵਿਕਸਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ” ਥੀਮ ‘ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਅੰਤਰ ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ 2026 ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਭਾਅ,ਰਚਨਾਤਮਿਕਤਾ, ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੌਧਿਕਤਾ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 21 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ 8 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ, ਰੋਬੋਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਰਾਹੀ ਸਵੈ–ਨਿਰਭਰ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਆਕਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਤਰੱਕੀ,ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨ ਸੋਚ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪਲੇਟਫ਼ਾਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।ਇਸੇ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵੀ’ਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਚਾਰਟਰਡ ਅਕਾਊਂਟੈਂਟਸ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ, ਬੀ.ਕਾਮ. ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਚਾਰਟਰਡ ਅਕਾਊਂਟਸ (ਸੀ.ਏ) ਅਤੇ ਕੌਸਟ ਐਂਡ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਅਕਾਊਂਟਸ (ਸੀ.ਐ’ਮ.ਏ) ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਐਕਸਟੈਂਸ਼ਨ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਵਣਜ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਗਤੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਬੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਕੁਸ਼ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਢਾਂਚੇ, ਯੋਗਤਾ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਪੈਟਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖਾਕਾਰੀ, ਟੈਕਸੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਇਸ ਮੋਦੀ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਭਾਵਨਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
