Fashion Designing students redefine textile art at ‘Creativity in Threads’ Exhibition

The Department of Fashion Designing of the college, organized a creative exhibition titled ‘Creativity in Threads’ on Feb 2, 2026.

The exhibition featured innovative and artistic creations developed by students of M.Sc.-I (Fashion Designing). The display highlighted experimental fabric manipulation techniques, intricate surface ornamentation, and creative textile explorations. The exhibits reflected the students’ imagination, technical proficiency, and innovative approach towards contemporary textile design.

The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Veenu Jain, Head of the Department of Fashion Designing. The exhibition was conducted under the able guidance of Assistant Professor Ms. Ramit Sharma and Mr. Rahul, whose mentorship motivated students to transform simple threads and textures into expressive and impactful design statements.

The exhibition was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal and Dr. Rohit Sachdeva, Dean (Academics), who appreciated the creativity, dedication, and experimental approach demonstrated by the students. They encouraged the young designers to continue exploring new dimensions in garment innovation and design practices.

All Faculty members including Ms. Abhineet Kaur, Mr. Rahul, Ms. Lovely, and Ms. Jasneet were also present. Students along with faculty other departments, visited the exhibition and applauded the commendable efforts of the budding designers.

The event served as a vibrant platform for artistic expression, academic excellence, and creative experimentation, reaffirming the college’s commitment to nurturing innovation and professional competence in the field of fashion and design.

‘ਕ੍ਰੀਏਟਿਵਿਟੀ ਇਨ ਥ੍ਰੈਡਜ਼’ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਟੈਕਸਟਾਈਲ ਕਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਾ

ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ 2 ਫ਼ਰਵਰੀ 2026 ਨੂੰ ‘ਕ੍ਰੀਏਟਿਵਿਟੀ ਇਨ ਥ੍ਰੈਡਜ਼’ ਨਾਮਕ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. (ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ) ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਾਤਮਕ ਫੈਬਰਿਕ ਮੈਨਿਪੁਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ, ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਤਹ ਸਜਾਵਟ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਟੈਕਸਟਾਈਲ ਅਨੁਸੰਧਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਲਪਨਾ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀ, ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਨਿਪੁੰਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਟੈਕਸਟਾਈਲ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜਕ੍ਰਮ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਵੀਣੂ ਜੈਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਮਿਸ ਰਾਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਟਰ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਧਾਰਣ ਧਾਗਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਟੈਕਸਟਚਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਭਿਵ੍ਯੰਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਯਲ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ, ਡੀਨ ਅਕੈਡਮਿਕਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਰਹੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ, ਸਮਰਪਣ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਾਤਮਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸਰਾਹਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਅਭਿਆਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸ ਅਭਿਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮਿਸਟਰ ਰਾਹੁਲ, ਮਿਸ ਲਵਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸ ਜਸਨੀਤ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਭਰਦੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਨੀਯ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸਰਾਹਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜਕ੍ਰਮ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਅਭਿਵੈਕਤੀ, ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਉਤਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜੀਵੰਤ ਮੰਚ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
