Department of Fashion Designing Organizes 3 Days Resin Art Workshop at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Promoting the spirit of “Learning by Doing,” the Department of Fashion Designing at the college organized a vibrant three-day Resin Art Workshop from February 18th to 20th, 2026. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Rimjhim, a talented B.Sc. Part-III Fashion Designing student, showcasing the college’s commitment to empowering students.
The workshop offered 24 enthusiastic students from the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Fashion Designing programs a deep dive into the world of resin aesthetics. The training covered hands-on sessions for crafting bespoke jewellery, key rings, personalized photo frames and decorative home accessories. The students also learned about material handling, colour mixing, mould techniques, finishing and safety measures while working with resin.
Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal expressed that skill-based workshops are essential for developing self-reliance and entrepreneurial skills. He added that having students lead such sessions is a testament to the department’s success in fostering industry-ready talent.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Veenu Jain Head, Department of Fashion Designing and meticulously coordinated by Ms. Ramit Sharma. All Faculty members including Ms. Abhineet Kaur, Mr. Rahul, Ms. Lovely, and Ms. Jasneet were also present.
The event concluded on a high note, with students showcasing a vibrant array of resin products. The participants expressed immense satisfaction with the practical exposure, noting that the workshop had sparked new ideas for their future portfolios.

“ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖੋ” ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮੋਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ 18 ਤੋਂ 20 ਫ਼ਰਵਰੀ 2026 ਤੱਕ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੰਗਾਰੰਗ ਰੇਜ਼ਿਨ ਆਰਟ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਭਾਗ-ਤੀਜਾ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਹੋਨਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਮਿਸ ਰਿਮਝਿਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਚਾਲਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਸ਼ਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਈ।
ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਅਤੇ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਦੇ 24 ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੇਜ਼ਿਨ ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਹੱਥੋਂ-ਹੱਥ ਤਜਰਬੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਗਹਿਣੇ, ਕੀ-ਰਿੰਗ, ਨਿੱਜੀਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਫੋਟੋ ਫਰੇਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਜਾਵਟੀ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਉਪਕਰਣ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਿਕਸ਼ਣ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰੇਜ਼ਿਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ, ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਲਾਵਟ, ਮੋਲਡ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ, ਫਿਨਿਸ਼ਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਯਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਨਰ-ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਤਮਨਿਰਭਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯਮੀ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਲੀਡ ਕਰਨਾ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਉਦਯੋਗ-ਤਿਆਰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨਿਖਾਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਵੀਣੂ ਜੈਨ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸ ਰਾਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਹੋਈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸ ਅਭਿਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮਿਸਟਰ ਰਾਹੁਲ, ਮਿਸ ਲਵਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸ ਜਸਨੀਤ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ।
ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਰੰਗ-ਬਿਰੰਗੇ ਰੇਜ਼ਿਨ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਪੂਰਣ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਾਤਮਕ ਅਨੁਭਵ ‘ਤੇ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖੀ ਪੋਰਟਫੋਲਿਓ ਲਈ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
