The Department of commerce of Multani Mal Modi College offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Commerce Honours (B.Com Hons), Masters in Commerce (M.com). As per “The Tribune” Survey in Guide to Best Colleges, Multani Mal Modi College is among the topmost ten colleges of the region in Commerce Stream consecutively from the last six years.

The commerce department was established in the year 1967 with one unit of B.com. In 2010, the department was housed in the newly constructed building with 18 class rooms, 1 computer lab, a faculty room, a common room for girls and full fledge departmental library. In 2010, along with B.com, B.com hons was also initiated. In 2011, master programme in the department was introduced namely M.com (Masters in Commerce). Presently, department has 4 units of B.com, 2 units of B.com Hons and 1 unit of M.com.
