Talent Hunt- 2026 Organised at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized its ‘Talent Hunt – 2026’ to provide a creative platform for students to explore and exhibit their artistic skills. The inaugural session of the programme was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Malkit Singh Mann, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Services, Patiala,Punjab. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by Saraswati Vandana and Shabad Gayan performed by the students.

College Principal, Dr. Neeraj Goyal, welcomed the chief guest, and participants. He said that the Talent Hunt is designed to nurture the creative potential and artistic abilities of the students, ensuring they develop not only as future leaders but also as culturally enriched, creative individuals.

Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Dean of Co-Curricular Activities, introduced the various themes and competitions lined up for the day, motivating students to balance their academic pursuits with artistic excellence.

During the inaugural address, Chief Guest Dr. Malkit Singh Mann congratulated the participants and commended Modi College for maintaining a balance between academic excellence and creative virtuosity. He highlighted the role of art and literature in human life.

During the event in the General Knowledge Quiz competition the team of Gaurav, Kiran kaushal and Kiranpreet kaur got the first position First position was bagged by team of Kiran kaushal, Hemant Sankhla and Tanu Sharma in Cultural quiz Competition.

In Elocution, first position was bagged by Arpanpreet kaur and the second position won by Jagpat Narayan Singla.

In Poetic Recitation, first position was won by Gurjant Singh and the second position begged by Harsimran Sehgal.

In classical Western Vocal Song (solo) Parikalpana Gupta secured first and Kushaldeep kaur begged the second position. In the classical Western Vocal Song Competition ( Group) the first place went to Gurnoor Kaur, Preetplann Guptha, Kushaldeep Kaur, Manas Pasricha, Mannat and Aditi’s team.

Harman Singh stood first in folk song and Geet competition.

A special skit, a play and traditional Gidda was also presented during the event..

The Talent Hunt-2026 successfully highlighted student achievements across fine arts, visual media, and traditional cultural crafts. In the fine arts and visual media categories, winners included Parse Ahuja for 1st place in Photography, Angel Dhiman for 1st place in On-the-Spot Painting, Akshita Kataria for 1st place in Poster Making, Akashat Nahar for 1st place in Cartooning, and Jeevika for 1st place in Rangoli.

Traditional Punjabi heritage events saw enthusiastic student participation and impressive craftsmanship. Notable 1st place winners in these categories featured Kushaldeep Kaur for Crochet Work, Harpreet Kaur for Innu Making and Nala Weaving, Komal for Doll Making, Roopneet Kaur for Paranda Making, Amritpal Singh for Peedhi Weaving, Rajbeena for Khiddo Making, Gagandeep Kaur for Pakhi Making, and Mehak Bansal for Mehndi.

The Group competitions were the major highlight of the event, particularly in the Installation category. The 1st award went to the B.Sc. III Medical team consisting of Anushka, Diya, Sanjana, and Sanchita Kaur. Joint 2nd place was awarded to Mehak Kansal and another B.Sc. III Medical team comprising Mehakdeep Kaur, Harnoor Kaur, and Babaldeep Kaur, while 3rd place went to Dimple Sharma, Gurpreet Kaur, Ishika, and Princepreet Singh.

Finally, several specialized categories received no entries or position awards, leaving them unawarded for this year’s competition. These categories included Clay Modelling, Toy Making, traditional Embroidery (such as Bagh, Phulkari, and Chop), Basket Making, Chhikku Making,Rope Making and Ghazal.

The stage was conducted by Dr. Bhanvi wadhawan, Dr. Rupinder Singh Dhillon and Dr. Harleen kaur. The vote of thanks was presented by Vice-principal Prof. Jagdeep kaur.

The event featured an action-packed schedule of performances and competitions, including Elocution, Poetic Recitation, and a vibrant display of Giddha. The programme successfully served as a dynamic platform for students to showcase their diverse talents across fine arts, literary events, and traditional cultural performances.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ‘ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੁੇ ੨੦੨੬’ ਦਾ ਸਫਲ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਮਲਕੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ, ਐਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਯੁਵਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ।ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਲੈਂਪ ਜਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਵੰਦਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗਾਇਨ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੁੇ ੨੦੨੬ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਯੋਗਤਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਯਤਨ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਤੀ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਹੋਣ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਅਮੀਰ, ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਹੋਣ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਹਿੁਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਤੁਲਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਵੱਖੁਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਆਪਣੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਡਾ. ਮਲਕੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਟਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਮਿਆਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ‘ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਨਰਲ ਨਾਲਿਜ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੌਰਵ,ਕਿਰਨ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਕਿਰਨ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ, ਹੇਮੰਤ ਸੰਖਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਨੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਰਪਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਗਪਤ ਨਰਾਇਣ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ ਨੇ ਜਿ’ਤਿਆ।ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ੍ਹ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਪਾਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਰਜੰਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਰਸਿਮਰਨ ਸਹਿਗਲ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।

ਕਲਾਸੀਕਲ ਵੈਸਟਰਨ ਵੋਕਲ ਸੌਂਗ (ਸੋਲੋ)ਵਿ’ਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪਰੀਕਲਪਨਾ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਦੀਪ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।ਕਲਾਸੀਕਲ ਵੈਸਟਰਨ ਵੋਕਲ ਸੌਂਗ ੯ ਗਰੁ’ਪ ਵਿ’ਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਰਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ, ਪਰੀਕਲਪਨਾ ਗੁਪਤਾ,ਕੁਸ਼ਲਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਮਨਸ਼ਾ ਪਸਰੀਜ਼ਾ, ਮੰਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਿਤੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜਿ’ਤਿਆ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਰਮਨ ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਗੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇ’ਕ ਨਾਟਕ,ਸਕਿ’ਟ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਗਿ’ਧਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਤੁਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਲਲਿਤ ਕਲਾ, ਵਿਜ਼ੂਅਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਗਤ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸ਼ਿਲਪਕਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਿਕ ਸਮਰ’ਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਲਲਿਤ ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਜ਼ੂਅਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪਾਰਸੇ ਆਹੂਜਾ, ਆਨੁਦੁਸਪਾਟ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਏਂਜਲ ਧੀਮਾਨ, ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਕਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਕਟਾਰੀਆ, ਕਾਰਟੂਨਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਾਹਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਜੀਵਿਕਾ ਨੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤੀ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦੇਖਣ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਕਰੋਸ਼ੇਟ ਵਰਕ ਲਈ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਇੰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲਾ ਬੁਣਾਈ ਲਈ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਗੁੱਡੀ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਕੋਮਲ, ਪਰਾਂਦਾ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਰੂਪਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਪੀੜੀ ਬੁਣਾਈ ਲਈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਖਿੱਦੋ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਰਾਜਬੀਨਾ, ਪ’ਖੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿੰਦੀ ਲਈ ਮਹਿਕ ਬਾਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਗਰੁੱਪੁਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਣ ਰਹੇ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਇੰਸਟਾਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਕਾ, ਦੀਆ, ਸੰਜਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਚਿਤਾ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜਿ’ਤਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿ’ਚ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਮਹਿਕ ਕਾਂਸਲ ਅਤੇ ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਕਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਹਰਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਬਲਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਡਿੰਪਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਇਸ਼ੀਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਪੁਜੀਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਲਈ ਇਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਡਲ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ, ਖਿਡੌਣਾ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ, ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਕਢਾਈ (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਬਾਗ, ਫੁਲਕਾਰੀ, ਅਤੇ ਚੋਪ), ਟੋਕਰੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ, ਛਿੱਕੂ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ, ਰੱਸੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਗਜ਼ਲ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।

ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਟੇਜੁਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਡਾ.ਭਾਨਵੀ ਬਾਧਵਨ,ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿ’ਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ।ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਵਾਈਸੁਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਵ’ਲੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
