Talent Hunt-2019 held at M. M. Modi College, Patiala
M M Modi College, Patiala organized ‘Talent Hunt – 2019’ today to provide a platform for students to explore their creative and artistic skills. Dr. Pawan Kumar Singla, State Information Commissioner, Punjab was the Chief Guest. The programme was inaugurated with a lamp lighting ceremony, Saraswati Vandana and Shabad Gayan by the students.
College Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the chief guest and participants. He said that such programmes are designed to develop the creative potential and artistic skills of our students. He told that college is committed to develop its students not only as future leaders but also as creative human beings.
Vice Principal Prof. (Dr.) Baljinder Kaur introduced the various themes for different competitions. She formally introduced the Chief Guest.
Chief Guest Dr. Pawan Kumar Singla congratulated the winners of various competitions and said that Modi College has maintained a balance between academic excellence and creative virtuosity. He said that a responsible and free press is important for dissemination and usage of information for building of a democratic society.
Competitions in Elocution, Folk Song, Ghazal, Poetry Recitation, Quiz, Fine Arts, and Photography were held. Competitions were also held in Western Song (Solo) and Fine Arts. Gidha, Rawaiti Lok Geet and Skit were special attraction of the programme.
First position was bagged by Rahul in Collage Making; Vishal in Mehndi Design; Ravinder Kaur in Embroidery; Kushaldeep Kaur in Cartoon Making, Honey Verma in On the Spot Painting, Neha in Clay Modelling, Manpreet Kaur in Poster Making, Harshul Garg in Photography and Bhavna Mal in Rangoli.
In General Knowledge Quiz competition Bakshdeep Singh Walia got the first position. First position was bagged by Kavita Sharma in Folk Song, Kavita Sharma in Geet/Ghazal; Dishika Sachdeva in Western Song (Solo); Satnam Singh in Poetry Recitation and Lokinder Singh in Elocution. There was a special competition ‘Punjabi Lok Dhara and Sabhiyacharak Quiz’, in which Harpreet Singh stood first. Punjabi Folk Dance Gidha, a skit ‘Batti Wale Babe’ and a Play penned by Sh. Balwant Gargi ‘Balde Tibbe’ were also enacted.
Prof. Ved Parkash Sharma, Dr. Gurdeep Singh and Dr. Rupinder Sharma were judges for Poetry Recitation. Prof. Shailendra Sidhu, Dr. Rupinder Sharma, Dr. Shikha and Dr. Rupinder Singh were judges for Elocution, Prof. (Mrs.) Neena Sareen, Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Dr. Rohit Sachdeva, Prof. Poonam Sharma and Prof. Veenu Jain were the judges for Fine Arts items, Dr. Manjit Kaur and Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Prof. Mohamad Habib and Dr. Manpreet Kaur were the judges for the Music Items. Prof. (Mrs.) Jagdeep Kaur, Dr. Harmohan Sharma and Prof. Mohamad Habib were judges for Western Solo Song. Dr. Ajit Kumar, Dr. Ganesh Kumar Sethi and Dr. Harmohan Sharma were judges for the Quiz.
At the end of the programme, the Chief Guest gave away prizes to the winners. Dr. Bhanavi Wadhawan, Prof. Harleen Kaur and Dr. Rupinder Singh conducted the stage.
Prof. Shailendra Sidhu presented the vote of thanks.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ‘ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ-ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ-2019’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ‘ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ-ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ 2019’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਤਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਜਨਾਤਮਿਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਪਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ, ਸਟੇਟ ਇੰਫਰਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਬਤੌਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਗਾਜ਼ ਜਯੋਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਵਲਨ, ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਵੰਦਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗਾਇਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਰੋਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਛੁਪੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਢੁੱਕਵਾਂ ਮੰਚ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਵਪੱਖੀ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਡਾ.) ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਰਸਮੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਡਾ. ਪਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਤਮਕ ਮਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਉੱਚ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਮਜਬੂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ-ਖੋਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਫਾਈਨ ਆਰਟਸ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਲਾਜ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਹੁਲ, ਮਹਿੰਦੀ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ, ਕਢਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਕਾਰਟੂਨ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨੀ ਵਰਮਾ, ਕਲੇਅ ਮਾਡਲਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੇਹਾ, ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਸ਼ੁਲ ਗਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਮੱਲ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਨਰਨ ਨਾਲਿਜ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਲੀਆ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਵਿਤਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਤਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੀਤ/ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਸਟਰਨ ਸੋਲੋ ਸੌਂਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਸ਼ੀਕਾ ਸੱਚਦੇਵਾ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹੇ। ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਕਲੱਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਲੋਕਧਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਕਵਿੱਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਰਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਮਿਮਿਕਰੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਗਿੱਧਾ, ਸਕਿੱਟ ‘ਬੱਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਬੇ’ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਗਾਰਗੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਟਕ ‘ਬਲਦੇ ਟਿੱਬੇ’ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼, ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਕਲਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ੈਲੇਨਦਰ ਸਿੱਧੁ, ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾ. ਸ਼ਿਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਫਾਈਨ ਆਰਟਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨੀਨਾ ਸਰੀਨ, ਡਾ. ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸੱਚਦੇਵਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਿਸ ਪੂਨਮ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਿਜ਼ ਵੀਨੂ ਜੈਨ ਜੱਜ ਸਨ। ਸੰਗੀਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਇਟਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਹਬੀਬ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜੱਜ ਰਹੇ। ਵੈਸਟਰਨ ਸੋਲੋ ਸੌਂਗ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਿਸਿਜ਼ ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਹਬੀਬ ਨੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਕੁਇੱਜ਼ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਅਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡਾ. ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸੇਠੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਨਿਭਾਏ।
ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ। ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ੈਲੇਨਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਹੇ। ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਮੰਚ-ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ।
