MULTANI MAL MODI COLLEGE HOSTS PTC NEWS FOR LIVE BROADCAST OF YOUTH DIALOGUE PROGRAMME ‘SATH’

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, successfully hosted the crew of PTC News today for a live, interactive broadcast session of its flagship public dialogue programme, ‘SATH’. The event, held on the college campus under the grand banyan tree, brought together students, faculty, and broadcast journalists. The programme was organised under the guidance of presenter Sh. Hakam Singh.
‘SATH’ is an acclaimed public-engagement broadcast on PTC News that travels across the region to facilitate open discussions. Based on the core themes of Conversations, Culture, Our Stories, and Our Voice, the program served as a constructive platform for public discourse, capturing the authentic spirit of Punjab directly from the college grounds. The session provided students with a hands-on media engagement opportunity, allowing them to engage in structured debates and share their perspectives on critical social challenges, educational goals, and preservation of culture on national television.
College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal welcomed the team of “Sath” and said, “Hosting PTC News’ flagship programme, ‘SATH,’ on our campus reflected our commitment to providing students with holistic exposure beyond the traditional classroom setting. Today’s youth require accessible platforms where their perspectives on culture and social progress can be heard and valued. This interaction not only offered our students direct insight into professional media dynamics but also equipped them to articulate their ideas with confidence on a national platform.”
The broadcast also prominently featured the voices of the students.
“Participating in ‘SATH’ gave us a unique opportunity to voice the real issues and aspirations of young people in Punjab,” said Parikalpana, a B.A. student. “It was empowering to speak on a national broadcast platform right from our own college.”
Harman Singh, a B.A.-I student, said, “Interacting directly with the PTC News team gave us an invaluable look into television broadcasting. Debating cultural and social topics on air helped build our confidence and made us feel that our opinions truly matter.”
In this program, vice principal Prof. Jagdeep Kaur, Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Dr. Nishan Singh, Dr. Vaneet Kaur, Dr. Davinder Singh, Dr. Rupinder Singh, Dr. Harleen Kaur, Dr. Kuldeep Kaur, Prof. Harpreet Singh, Dr. Maninder Kaur, Prof. Gaganpreet Kaur, Prof. Anita, Prof. Kapil Dev Sharma, Prof. Gurwinder Singh, and Prof. Amandeep Kaur were present.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਪੀ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ. ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਦੇ ਚਰਚਿਤ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ‘ਸੱਥ’ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਦਾ ਲਾਈਵ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਟਰ-ਐਕਟਿਵ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ‘ਸੱਥ’ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰ. ਹਾਕਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਮਰਾਮੈਨ ਤੇਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
‘ਸੱਥ’ ਪੀ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ. ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਨੇ ‘ਸਾਡਾ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ’, ‘ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸਾਡੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼” ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਰਾਹੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਅਸਲ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਣ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਜੁੜਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ, ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ, ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੀ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ ਟੀ.ਵੀ ਦੀ ਸਕਰੀਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ‘ਸੱਥ’ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਡੇ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ. ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ‘ਸੱਥ’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਪਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮੰਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ, ਆਰਥਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਸ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਕੇਵਲ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਨੇੜਿਓਂ ਸਮਝਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਬਲਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਅਹਿਮ ਮੰਚ ‘ਤੇ ਆਤਮ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ।”
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਰਹੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ।
ਬੀ.ਏ. ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਪਰੀਕਲਪਨਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “‘ਸੱਥ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਸਲ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਮੰਚ ‘ਤੇ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੀ।”
ਬੀ.ਏ. ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਰਮਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪੀ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ. ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲਾਈਵ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਬ੍ਰਾਡਕਾਸਟਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਨ-ਏਅਰ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡਾ ਆਤਮ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਵਧਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੀ ਰਾਇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਮਾਇਨੇ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।”
