The Department of Business Management organized Mangement fest “Utkarsh-2025”

 

The Department of Business Management organized Mangement fest “Utkarsh-2025” on March 13, 2025. It is an annual event of the department to celebrate National Management Day. The event was organized by the “Manthan Club” of thé Department to showcase management skills under the guidelines of the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

The event began with a warm welcome to the esteemed judges: Ms. Savleen Kaur (Commerce teacher at Shivalik Public School), Ms. Parneet Kaur (Commerce teacher at Arya Girls Senior Secondary School), and Ms. Reeti Jain (Commerce teacher at Budha Dal Public School).

The first activity, *Emerging Entrepreneur Competition, involved 35 students who were grouped into seven teams. This activity aimed to identify, nurture, and celebrate promising young entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and providing opportunities for growth through challenges, mentorship, and recognition.

The second activity, *Corporate Canvas*, involved 40 students divided into 8 teams. This activity provided a platform for students to express their artistic skills and ideas through vibrant and engaging display boards.

The final activity was the *Ad-Mad Show*, in which 20 students, divided into 4 teams, participated. The goal of this activity was to provide students with a platform to explore their creativity and advertising skills.

The valedictory session was presided by Dr. Manjit Singh, Professor, University School of Applied Management, Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Neeraj Goyal commenced the valedictory program with a warm welcome address. The Chief Guest, Dr. Manjit Singh appreciated the department for organizing such events, which offered a great platform for students. He shared his journey as an educator and emphasized the importance of time management in professional life. He also highlighted the significance of fostering awareness around responsible business practices and modern technological advancements like AI, while recognizing the contributions of commerce to everyday life.

The winners of the Business Quiz were

The winners of the *Emerging Entrepreneur Competition* were Roxy, Denim Jain, Harnoor Kaur, and Aishleen Kaur.

The *Corporate Canvas Competition* was won by the team consisting of Roxy, Harnoor, Dimple, and Gurpreet.

In the *Ad-Mad Show*, the first-place winners were Muskan, Jashan Jot, Amrita Kuwar, Mehak, and Naman Kumar.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants and a vote of thanks, marking a successful and enriching experience for all involved.
