Multani Mal Modi College Organizes Summer Practical Training in Stock Market Operations for Management Students

The Department of Management at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, successfully organized an intensive summer training program on “Stock Market Operations” for Management first-year students. The initiative was designed to enhance financial literacy and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical market application.
Commending the initiative, College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal stated, “In today’s dynamic economic landscape, financial literacy and hands-on exposure are indispensable tools for management students. This training program underscores our institution’s commitment to equipping students with practical market skills that extend well beyond traditional classroom learning. I congratulate the Department of Management for their dedicated efforts in preparing our students for real-world financial challenges.”
Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, Department Coordinator Dr. (Lt) Rohit Sachdeva said, “The primary objective of this training program was to demystify the complexities of financial markets for our young management students. We wanted to move beyond textbook concepts and provide them with a structured, practical foundation in trading mechanics, market analysis, and risk management so they can make informed, confident financial decisions in their academic and professional futures.”
Led by experienced faculty members from the Department of Management, the training provided students with a comprehensive understanding of stock market operations, stock exchange mechanics, market indices, fundamental and technical analysis, share trading processes, and risk management strategies.
The program concluded with an exclusive hands-on practical session led by Mr. Vinay Jain, Business Associate at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. Mr. Jain introduced students to virtual stock trading using platforms such as Moneycontrol.com, demonstrating how to track real-time market movements and execute virtual trades. The session focused on practical trading tactics, investment strategies, and analytical approaches, allowing students to develop real-world decision-making skills without financial risk.
During the valedictory session, Mr. Manik Raj Singla, Career Counsellor and Consultant Head, addressed the students, sharing inspiring experiences from his professional journey. He encouraged attendees to remain resilient, navigate challenges with determination, and pursue their career ambitions with confidence. All faculty members were present during the training.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਿਲ ਹੋਏ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ “ਸਟਾਕ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨਜ਼” ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਰ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਖਰਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਪਾੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਅਹਿਮ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਬਦਲ ਰਹੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ, ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਖਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਂਡ-ਆਨ ਐਕਸਪੋਜ਼ਰ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਸਾਧਨ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਕਲਾਸਰੂਮ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਅਸਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।”
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡਾ. (ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ) ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਡੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰਸਸ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੁੰਝਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਠ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਕਲਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਮਕੈਨਿਕਸ, ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੀਕੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ।”
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਤਜਰਬੇਕਾਰ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਟਾਕ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ, ਸਟਾਕ ਐਕਸਚੇਂਜ ਮਕੈਨਿਕਸ, ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਸੂਚਕਾਂਕ, ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ, ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਵਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋਖਮ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਮਝ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਮੋਤੀਲਾਲ ਓਸਵਾਲ ਫਾਈਨੈਂਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਸਰਵਿਸਿਜ਼ ਲਿਮਟਿਡ ਦੇ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਟ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਵਿਨੈ ਜੈਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਹੈਂਡ-ਆਨ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਨੀਕੰਟਰੋਲ.ਕਾਮ ਵਰਗੇ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਸਟਾਕ ਟਰੇਡਿੰਗ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਰੀਅਲ-ਟਾਈਮ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਟਰੈਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਟਰੇਡ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਚਲਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ, ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣਾਤਮਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਜੋਖਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਅਸਲ-ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨਿਕ ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ, ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਕਾਉਂਸਲਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾਦਾਇਕ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ੳਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਤਮ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਤਮਾਮ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ।
