Multani Mal Modi College Students Win Third Prize at International Biotechnology Conference

Students of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, brought laurels to the institution by securing third prize in the Scientific Poster Presentation at International Conference on “Bioentrepreneurship: Fostering Innovations in Biotechnology,” organized by the Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology, Punjabi University, on February 3–4, 2026.
Shreya and Banveer, students of B.Sc. I Biotechnology (Hons.), earned the third position for their poster presentation on “Gene Therapy in Medical Biotechnology: Advances and Applications.” Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal congratulated the winners for their outstanding achievement and praised them for showcasing the college’s active involvement in research-oriented academic events. He also applauded the dedicated efforts of faculty members Dr. Bhanvi and Dr. Teena for mentoring and motivating the students to participate in such prestigious academic platforms.
Apart from the prize winners, Mansi and Parneet from B.Sc. III Biotechnology (Hons.) and Anika Kohli from B.Sc. I Life Sciences (Medical) also presented scientific posters at the conference. The conference witnessed participation from researchers, academicians, and students from various institutions. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Dean Life Sciences said that the college continues to take pride in promoting scientific activities and nurturing a strong scientific temper among its students.
