Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized a special function to distribute scholarships to 95 deserving students of the college by Dr. S.P.S. Oberoi, Managing Trustee, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust. Mrs. Inderjeet Gill, Director Education, Sarbat Da Bhala Cheritable Trust and Sh. Gaganpreet Singh, General Secretary, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust were also present on the occasion. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests and said that ‘Sarbat Da Bhala Trust’ has become a symbol of social welfare and a hope for better education and affordable health services for number of lives across the globe. Mrs. Inderjeet Gill discussed various activities and schemes initiated by the ‘Sarbat Da Bhala Trust’ for the welfare of underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society. Dr. S. P. S. Oberoi while addressing the students motivated them to work hard and to dedicate themselves for the betterment of our society. He also distributed the prizes to the winners of the ‘Quiz Contest’ organized by the college focusing on the fundamental aspects of Indian Constitution to mark the Constitution Day. He also handed over the cheque (Rupees Nine Lakh and Fifty Thousand) of scholarships for the needy and deserving students of Modi College. A sketch of him was presented as token of gratitude to Sh. Singh by Ms. Jasneet Kaur, B.A.-III student and a winner in Dera Baba Nanak Online Youth Festival for Sketch of Shri Guru Nanak Devi Ji. The stage was conducted by Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma, Dean, Students Welfare. Vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Baljinder Kaur. All students and staff members were present on the occasion.

ਸਥਾਨਿਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਡਾ. ਐਸ.ਪੀ.ਸਿੰਘ ਉਬਰਾਏ, ਮੈਨੇਜਿੰਗ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਨੇ 95 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਜ਼ੀਫਾ ਵੰਡਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਗਿੱਲ, ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗਗਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜਰਨਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਟਰਸੱਟ’ ਦਾ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਵੰਚਿਤ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਹੈ। ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ-ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਆਰੰਭੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਵੇਰਵਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਡਾ. ਐਸ.ਪੀ.ਸਿੰਘ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਮੰਦ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਜ਼ੀਫੇ ਦੀ ਰਕਮ (ਨੌ ਲੱਖ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ) ਦਾ ਚੈੱਕ ਵੀ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੱਦਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਇੱਜ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇਤੂ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੇ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਜਸਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਬੀ.ਏ. ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਸਕੈੱਚ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਵੀ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਨੇ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਦਿਨੀ ਡੇਰਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਯੂਥ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ‘ਸਕੈੱਚ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਵੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਡੀਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਗਈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. (ਮਿਸਿਜ਼) ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਮੂਹ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
