Modi College contributes to Prime Minister relief fund for Kerala Flood victims
Today, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala handed over a cheque worth Rs. 65,000/- for rebuilding the lives of Kerala flood victims in Prime Minister Relief Fund. While handing over the cheque college Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar appreciated the efforts and spirit of college staff members and students for collecting this fund on such a short notice. He said that during such natural disasters, every citizen must contribute in his or her maximum capacity to strengthen the process of rehabilitation of such victims. He said that responding with empathy in such crisis is important for us as an institution and as a humane society.
A large number of students and staff members and students were also present on the occasion.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੇਰਲਾ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਕੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੈਕ ਭੇਂਟ
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਕੇਰਲਾ ਦੇ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਲਈ 65,000 ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਚੈੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਕੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਇਸ ਸੁਹਿਰਦ ਯਤਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਆਫ਼ਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਚਪੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈ ਮਾਨਵਤਾ ਲਈ ਢਾਲ ਬਣੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਲੀਹ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਦਦ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਚੈੱਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਣ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਇਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਾਨਵੀ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
