Inter-Institutional Science Fair held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala
Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2018 on the theme of “Science, Technology and Society” under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar. This science fair was designed as a platform for the students to display changing paradigms of scientific understanding about environment, biotechnology, ICT, Energy Resources and their role in contemporary society. About 300 students from about 22 educational institutions including 9 colleges and 13 schools participated with their poster presentations and Models (Working and Static). Dr. Harish Chopra, Registrar, SLIET, Longowal was the chief guest of this event.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the chief guest and said that such programmes are important to engage with the recent developments in the different fields of science. Dr. Harish Chopra, while addressing the students, said that technology is fast changing the thematic interpretations of fundamental sciences. It is important to address the complexities of human society through these innovative and technocratic inventions. Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Head, Dept of Botany and Co-ordinator of the Science Fair discussed the themes and subthemes of the fair with the students. Organising Secretary of this fair Dr. Rajeev Sharma motivated the students to develop scientific temperament and logical thinking by participating in such events.
Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Dr. Anoop Kumar, Dr. Poonam Patyar, Dr. Rajeev Mall, Dr. Karamjeet Singh, Dr. Shabnam Sodhi and Dr. Loveleen acted as judges.
Both the College Principal and the Chief Guest honoured the winning teams and the individual winners with prizes and certificates. The results of various categories of winners are:

Prof. Surindra Lal, Member, College Managing Committee also graced the occasion. He congratulated the winning teams and blessed the participants with his motivational speech. Mementoes were presented to the chief guests and judges. Dr. Sanjay Kumar congratulated the winners and presented the vote of thanks. Prof. (Mrs.) Jasbir Kaur, Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Dr. Varun Jain, Dr. Bhanvi Wadhawan, Dr. Kavita, Dr. Anupama Parmar and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar worked hard to make this event success. ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ-2018
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਅਗੁਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਅੰਤਰ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ, ਉਥੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ, ਤਕਨੀਕ, ਊਰਜਾ ਭੰਡਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਾਰਥਿਕ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 9 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ 13 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਲਗਭਗ 300 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਮਾਡਲਾਂ (ਸਟੈਟਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਕਿੰਗ) ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਡਾ. ਹਰੀਸ਼ ਚੋਪੜਾ, ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ, ਸਲਾਇਟ, ਲੌਗੋਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਉਤਪਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਡਾ. ਹਰੀਸ਼ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਨੀਕ ਨੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੂਲ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਗੁੰਝਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਕੌਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ‘ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਇੰਸ’ ਅਤੇ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸਾਇੰਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਚੱੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਸੋਚ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਡਾ. ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਅਨੂਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡਾ. ਪੂਨਮ ਪਤਿਆਰ, ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਮੱਲ, ਡਾ. ਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਸ਼ਬਨਮ ਸੋਢੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਲਵਲੀਨ ਨੇ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਮਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਮਾਤਾ ਗੁਜਰੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਲਿਪਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਗੋਇਲ ਤੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਦੇ ਪਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਮਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਰਵੀਸ਼ ਮਿੱਤਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਮੀਤੇਜ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕੰਸੋਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਥਿਰ ਮਾਡਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮਹਿਕ ਗਰਗ, ਗੁਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਦੀਸ਼ਾ, ਲੀਪਾਕਸ਼ੀ, ਹਰਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੌਰ, ਸਾਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਭੁਵਨੇਸ਼ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਪੀ.ਐਮ.ਐਨ. ਕਾਲਜ ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਮਨੀਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਨੇ ਕੰਸੋਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਉਪਨਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਮੰਥਨ ਧਿਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਭਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਜੈਨ, ਭਾਨੂ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਨਸੀ ਗਰਗ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਣਬੀਰ ਕਾਲਜ, ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਦੇ ਗੌਰਵ ਗੋਇਲ, ਭਾਵਨਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਚਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕੰਸੋਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
