Herbal garden inaugurated at Modi college by Dr. S.P.S. Oberoi
Herbal garden dedicated to traditional medicinal heritage of India was inaugurated at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala by Dr. S.P.S Oberoi, Managing Trustee, Sarbat da Bhala Charitable Trust. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed him and other guests and said that Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust has become a symbol of social welfare for marginalized and deprived sections of our society. Mrs. Inderjeet Gill, Director Education, Sarbat da Bhala trust presented a brief report of the different projects and activities managed by the trust. Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma Dean Student Welfare discussed about the procedure of selection of students for the Scholarships. He told that till date the trust has distributed around 47 Lacs in the form of Scholarships to our 471 students. Later under the supervision of Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Dean, Life Sciences, tree plantation drive was also held. The drive was attended by Sh. Gaganpreet Singh, General Secretary, Sabat Da Bhala Trust. The stage was conducted by Dr. Harmohan Sharma and vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal Prof. (Mrs.) Shailendra Sidhu.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਡਾ. ਐਸ. ਪੀ. ਓਬਰਾਏ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਰਬਲ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ
ਸਥਾਨਿਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਹਰਬਲ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਤੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਆਗਾਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਿੰਗ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ. ਐਸ. ਪੀ. ਐਸ. ਓਬਰਾਏ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ। ਇਹ ਬਾਗ ਜੈਵਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਔਸ਼ਥੀ ਯੁਕਤ ਪੌਿਿਦਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੜੇ ਤਬਕਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਉਮੀਦ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਰਣਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ। ਟਰਸੱਟ ਦੇ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੋਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਯੁਵਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਵਜੀਫ਼ਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ 471 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ 47 ਲੱਖ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਵਜ਼ੀਫ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਤੇ ਜੀਵ-ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਤੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਹਰਬਲ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਲਈ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਆਗਾਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਟਰਸੱਟ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗਗਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਟੇਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ੈਲੇਂਦਰਾ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
