3-DAY FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONCLUDED AT M M MODI COLLEGE, PATIALA
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, organized UGC sponsored, 3-Day Faculty Development Program, under the theme of ‘Classroom Transaction Practices’ from 13-15 July, 2017.
During the 3 day FDP, resource persons of repute, from different universities interacted with the faculty members. Dr. Jayanti Dutta, Deputy Director, UGC-HRDC, Panjab University, Chandigarh talked in detail about the topic ‘Classroom Management’. Prof Ashwani Bhalla, SCD Govt College, Ludhiana, spoke about the ‘Choice Based Credit System’. Prof. Sunil Dutt, Prof & Head Department of Education Management, National University of Technical Teacher Training and Research, Chandigarh talked about the ‘Instructional Strategy’.
Principal Dr Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the resource persons and guests. He emphasized the contribution of research in making the faculty more competent, which will certainly translate in to better delivery of the teachers in the class.
Prof Nirmal Singh, Convener IQAC, thanked the speakers and stressed the need of making the research more of fundamental character with the inherent potentialities of making contribution to the academic body of knowledge.
Mementos were presented to the guests in the presence of IQAC members Prof Sharwan Kumar, Prof Shailendra Sidhu and Dr Deepika Jindal.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਇੰਟਰਨਲ ਕੁਆਲਿਟੀ ਐਸ਼ੋਰੈਂਸ ਸੈੱਲ (IQAC) ਵੱਲੋਂ, UGC ਸਪਾਂਸਰਡ, 13-15 ਜੁਲਾਈ, 2017 ਦੋਰਾਨ ‘Classroom Transaction Practices’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ।
ਤਿੰਨ ਰੋਜ਼ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਉੱਚ ਕੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ UGC-HRDC ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ. ਜੈਯੰਤੀ ਦੱਤਾ ਨੇ ‘ਕਲਾਸਰੂਮ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ’ (Classroom Management) ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਐਸ.ਸੀ.ਡੀ. ਕਾਲਜ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਭੱਲਾ ਨੇ ‘ਚਾਈਸ ਬੇਸਡ ਕ੍ਰੈਡਿਟ ਸਿਸਟਮ’ (Choice Based Credit System) ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਨੀਲ ਦੱਤ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖੀ, ਟੈਕਟਲੀਕਲ ਟੀਚਰਜ਼ ਟ੍ਰੈਨਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਇੰਸਟ੍ਰਕਸ਼ਨਲ ਸਟ੍ਰੈਟੇਜੀ (Instructional Strategy) ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਖੋਜ ਨਾਲ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਨਵੀਨਰ, ਆਈ.ਕਯੂ.ਏ.ਸੀ. (IQAC) ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਵਕਤਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮੌਲਿਕ ਖੋਜ ਵੱਲ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
IQAC ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ਰਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ਲਿੰਦਰਾ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਦੀਪੀਕਾ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਚਿੰਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
