Multani Mal Modi College Patiala Secures Second Position in Two Categories under Mission Clean Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala has secured second position in two categories—“Maintaining Cleanest Road” and “Awareness Campaigning for Cleanliness”—under Mission Clean Patiala, launched by the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, Patiala and the District Administration, Patiala. A total of 51 organisations participated in the initiative.
Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal expressed his happiness over the achievement and said that the recognition reflects the college’s sustained commitment to cleanliness, environmental awareness and responsible solid waste management. He appreciated the collective efforts of the college community and emphasised the importance of involving students in creating a cleaner, greener and more sustainable society.
Dr. Goyal congratulated Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Supervisor, Mission Clean Patiala, and Dr. Manish Sharma, Nodal Officer, Swachhta and Solid Waste Management, for their dedicated efforts and effective coordination. He also congratulated the in-charges and student volunteers of NSS, NCC, Eco Club and Youth Red Cross for their active participation in cleanliness drives and awareness campaigns.
The achievement highlights the college’s commitment to promoting Swachhta, environmental responsibility and community participation. The college expressed its gratitude to the PPCB, Municipal Corporation Patiala and District Administration for organising Mission Clean Patiala and providing institutions an opportunity to contribute towards the cleanliness and environmental sustainability of the city.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਬੋਰਡ (PPCB) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਏ ਗਏ ‘ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕਲੀਨ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ’ ਤਹਿਤ ਦੋ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦੋ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ—‘ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੜਕ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ’। ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 51 ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੂੜੇ-ਕਰਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ, ਹਰਿਆਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਡਾ. ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ‘ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕਲੀਨ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ’ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਰਵਾਈਜ਼ਰ ਡਾ. ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੱਛਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਠੋਸ ਕੂੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੇ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਡਾ. ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ NSS, NCC, ਈਕੋ ਕਲੱਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਥ ਰੈੱਡ ਕਰਾਸ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਬੋਰਡ, ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ‘ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕਲੀਨ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸੁਥਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
