Placement Cell organised session on Interview Skills

The Placement Cell of Modi College organised a session on Interview Skills for final year students on 6th August, 2026 in the college Auditorium. The resource person Dr Varleen Kaur, Deputy Manager, CTD, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala discussed that contrary to general opinion regarding the scarcity of jobs, recruiters are earnestly looking for the right candidates through interviews.
Principal Dr Neeraj Goyal said that in today’s competitive job market, it is extremely urgent to prepare students for securing a fulfilling job. Excelling at interviews is the first step to accomplishing their goals. The Training and Placement Officer, Prof. Parminder Kaur warmly welcomed the resource person and also shared that the Placement Cell is doing its best to ensure that Modiites graduate with exceptional skills and knowledge. Around 150 students enthusiastically attended the session and interacted with the resource person. Dr. Varleen Kaur discussed the preparation students must make before appearing for an interview. She also described tips and tricks to maintain the right attitude during an interview. Career Counsellor Ms. Roopsi Pahuja highlighted the importance of self-employment and discussed various courses being offered by the Punjab govt. for the same. Dr. Chetna Sharma facilitated the proceedings of the stage. Dr. Gaurav Gupta proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Harjinder Singh and teachers from the department of Commerce were present at the event.
