Multani Mal Modi College Hosted Film Promotion for Regional Cinematic Production series ‘Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree’

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, today hosted the cast and production team of the acclaimed Punjabi media production series ‘Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree’ for an official film promotion event on its campus. The visit formed a key part of the regional promotional campaign ahead of the theatrical release of the feature-length film on 7 August 2026. The promotional event successfully brought together the entire team of Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree, featuring the full lead star cast: Pukhraj Bhalla, Karan Sandhawalia, Sukhdeep Sapra, Karan Deol, Amrit Amby, Parteek Rai, Pawan Johal, Hashneen Chauhan, and Jagmeet Kaur. The interaction was managed by team coordinators Vishal Kalsi and Parry Grover. Additionally, members of ‘Team Good Luck’, Sandy Sharma, Happy Bokolia, Daljeet, and Kamal Dhaliwal were also present to extend their best wishes and support for the film’s upcoming theatrical release.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal emphasized the institution’s ongoing commitment to facilitating meaningful interactions between the academic community and creative industry. He highlighted that Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree stood out for its realistic portrayal of higher education, social dynamics, and youth development in Punjab, noting that hosting the production team provided students with valuable insights into media production and narrative storytelling while reinforcing the culturally vibrant environment of the campus.

Director Rabby Tiwana noted the central position Patiala held in the conceptualization of the project, explaining that conducting a promotional interaction at Multani Mal Modi College allowed the team to engage directly with the demographic that inspired the narrative. He expressed that moving from a digital platform to a wide theatrical release marked a significant milestone for their team, and they were glad to share this milestone experience directly with the student community.

The narrative of Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree garnered strong attention among students for its fidelity to real-life student experiences. Jashanpreet Singh, a final-year undergraduate student, remarked that the script effectively reflected the lived realities of university students in Punjab by accurately capturing academic pressures, peer dynamics, and practical youth challenges rather than relying on stylized tropes. Similarly, student Gurveen Kaur highlighted that the narrative’s strength lay in its balanced treatment of interpersonal relationships and personal responsibility, addressing issues such as career ambiguity, social expectations, and peer support systems.

The schedule for the promotional event was designed to bridge academic study with media exploration. It included an interactive panel discussion covering independent filmmaking, script development, and digital content distribution, followed by an exclusive media and trailer screening of promotional assets and musical compositions. The session concluded with a direct interaction between the film’s creative team, students, and media representatives in the college’s campus under supervision of Dean, Co-curricular activities, Dr. Harmohan Sharma. The vote of thanks was presented by vice-principal Prof. Jagdeep Kaur and the stage was conducted by Dr. Rupinder Singh Dhillon.All faculty members were present during this event.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਚਰਚਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵੈੱਬ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਯਾਰ ਜਿਗਰੀ ਕਸੂਤੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ’ ਦੀ ਸਟਾਰ ਕਾਸਟ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਪ੍ਰੋਮੋਸ਼ਨਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਮੋਸ਼ਨਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ 7 ਅਗਸਤ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਇਸ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਮੋਸ਼ਨਲ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਮੋਸ਼ਨਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ‘ਯਾਰ ਜਿਗਰੀ ਕਸੂਤੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ’ ਦੀ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਟਾਰ ਕਾਸਟ ਪੁਖਰਾਜ ਭੱਲਾ, ਕਰਨ ਸੰਧਾਵਾਲੀਆ, ਸੁਖਦੀਪ ਸਪਰਾ, ਕਰਨ ਦਿਓਲ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਅੰਬੀ, ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਰਾਏ, ਪਵਨ ਜੋਹਲ, ਹਸ਼ਨੀਨ ਚੌਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਮੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀਮ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਕਲਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰੀ ਗਰੋਵਰ ਨੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ‘ਟੀਮ ਗੁੱਡ ਲੱਕ’ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ, ਸੈਂਡੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਹੈਪੀ ਬੋਕੋਲੀਆ, ਦਲਜੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਲ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਅਰਥਪੂਰਨ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ‘ਯਾਰ ਜਿਗਰੀ ਕਸੂਤੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ’ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਯਥਾਰਥਵਾਦੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਲੇਖਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੀਕੀਆਂ ਸਮਝਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਰੱਬੀ ਟਿਵਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਦੀ ਕਲਪਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਜੁੜਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਉਪਲਬਧੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਯਾਰ ਜਿਗਰੀ ਕਸੂਤੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ’ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਲਗਾਅ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬੀ.ਏ.ਅੰਤਿਮ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਜਸ਼ਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਕ੍ਰਿਪਟ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਸਲ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਦਬਾਅ, ਦੋਸਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਬਨਾਵਟ ਦੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਗੁਰਵੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਆਪਸੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਲਮਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਹਿਮੀਅਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਛੂੰਹਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਮੋਸ਼ਨਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਡੀਨ, ਸਹਿ-ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ, ਡਾ: ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ, ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ। ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਡਾ: ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ।ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਮੂਹ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
