From Patiala to IPL: Modi College Student Emanjot Singh Chahal honoured after returning from IPL

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, witnessed immense pride today as Emanjot Singh Chahal, a student of B. Com Final Year, got an offer conclusion for joining the prestigious Rajasthan Royals franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Upon his arrival at the campus following the announcement, Emanjot Singh Chahal was accorded a grand, heartiest welcome by the college staff. A special felicitation ceremony was organized where he was warmly honoured by the Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal, his professors, and the entire staff for his achievement.

Congratulating the young cricketer, College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal stated that this historic selection is a direct result of Emanjot’s hard work, discipline, and guidance of his teachers. Dr. Goyal emphasized that Multani Mal Modi College remains deeply committed to providing world-class amenities and state-of-the-art infrastructure across academics, sports, and extracurricular education, ensuring students are fully equipped to excel on global platforms. The College Management Committee of Modi College also extended a warm welcome to Emanjot Singh Chahal as his success brings immense laurels not only to the college but also to the rich sporting legacy of the royal city of Patiala.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਦੌੜ ਗਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਬੀ.ਕਾਮ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਈਅਰ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਇਮਾਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਹਿਲ ਦੀ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਲੀਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਰਾਇਲਜ਼ ਫ੍ਰੈਂਚਾਈਜ਼ੀ ਲਈ ਚੋਣ ਦੀ ਖਬਰ ਨਸ਼ਰ ਹੋਈ। ਇਸ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ‘ਤੇ ਇਮਾਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭਰਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਉਸਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਚੋਣ ਇਮਾਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਹਿਲ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਟਾ ਹੈ। ਡਾ. ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਤਿ-ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ, ਚਾਹੇ ਉਹ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਮੱਲਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਸਕਣ। ਇਸੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਮਾਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਹਿਲ ‘ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਚਾਰ ਚੰਦ ਲਗਾਏ ਹਨ।

ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ (ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ) ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਮਾਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਹਿਲ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਉਭਰਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੀ.ਕਾਮ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਉੱਚ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਚੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਹੈ। ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਾਸ਼ਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਖੇਡ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਅਪਗ੍ਰੇਡ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ।
