Modi College Students Excel at National Drama Competition in Delhi

Students of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, Punjab, proudly participated in a prestigious national drama competition organized by the Shakespeare Society of India in collaboration with the University of Delhi. The event was held on 23rd April at the SP Jain Auditorium, South Campus, Delhi and witnessed enthusiastic participation from theatre teams across the country.
A team of 13 students from various courses represented the college under the direction of Prof. Gaganpreet Kaur. Showcasing their talent, dedication, and passion for dramatic arts, the students competed at a national level with remarkable confidence and artistic excellence. The event served as a valuable platform for cultural exchange and creative expression, exposing students to diverse theatrical styles and performances.
This participation marked a historic milestone for the institution, reflecting its growing presence on a national stage of performing arts.The team was accompanied by Dr. Maninder Kaur Bains.
Adding to this achievement, our student Renuka brought laurels to the college by securing the Runner-Up Award for Best Actor, highlighting her exceptional performance and stage presence.
The Principal, Dr. Neeraj Goyal, appreciated the initiative and extended his support for such enriching activities. Dr. Harmohan Sharma, Dean, Co-curricular Activities, and Dr. Vaneet Kaur, Head, Department of English, congratulated the team and encouraged continued participation in such prestigious events. Overall, the experience proved to be enriching and inspiring, strengthening the students’ confidence, teamwork, and commitment to excellence in the field of theater.
