Health Camp and Cafeteria Event organized by Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology
The Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, successfully organized a Health Camp and Cafeteria event with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members.
The Health Camp was a significant initiative where students provided health counselling to approximately 130 individuals. They addressed various health concerns and offered appropriate dietary and lifestyle guidance, demonstrating their practical knowledge and commitment to community welfare.
Following the health camp, a vibrant cafeteria was organized, showcasing innovative and nutritious food items. The menu featured probiotic-rich idli skewers in two unique flavors: Schezwan Idli Skewers and Indian Tadka Idli Skewers. Alongside these, a refreshing beverage named “Nimbu Bliss” was served, enriched with sabja seeds and gond kateera, known for their antioxidant properties.
The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Neeraj Goyal, who appreciated and encouraged the students for their commendable efforts. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Dean of Life Sciences, also praised the students for their dedication and teamwork.
The event witnessed active participation from students of Masters in Food and Nutrition 1st and 2nd Year, BSc Biotechnology 2nd Year and BSc Medical 2nd Year.
The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Teena Pathak, Dr. Bhanvi Wadhawan, Prof Harpreet Kaur and Prof Kritika Gupta.
Overall, the event was a great success, providing students with an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in real-life settings while promoting health awareness and nutritious eating habits in the community.
