498 Degrees awarded in Convocation-2026 at Multani Mal Modi College Patiala

Multani Mal Modi College today organized Convocation-2026 for the distribution of post-graduate and graduate degrees to the students. The convocation was inaugurated by chief guest Prof (Dr.) Rattan Singh, Vice Chancellor, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala. In this convocation Dr. Jaswinder Singh Brar, Dean Academic, Punjabi University, Patiala was the guest of honour. Col. Karminder Singh, Member, Management Committee of the college also graced the occasion. The convocation was inaugurated with Saraswati Vandana and Shabad Gayan. Guard of honour was also presented to the Chief Guest and other guests by the NCC wings of the college. College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal welcomed the chief guest, the new graduates and presented a brief report about the achievements, the recognition of college in various national-international competitions, events, academics, sports, extra-curriculum and other activities. He said that Modi College is not only imparting world class educational facilities to its students but also committed to develop them as future nation builders and socially conscious citizens. In his convocational address Prof (Dr.) Rattan Singh congratulated the new graduates and post-graduates and said that we are living in an era of complex global problems, new technical innovations and intelligent machines. He motivated the students to ‘think out of the box’ in their respective fields and to use their knowledge and learning for building a better world and for bringing social change In his address Prof. Jaswinder Singh Brar motivated the students to focus their potential and energies towards reconstructing a more humane and democratic society. He congratulated the newly graduates and said that good education is capable of transforming millions of lives and it is our responsibility to dedicate our knowledge and skills for our society. Colonel Karminder Singh, Member of the College Management Committee also congratulated the fresh graduates and asked them to dedicate their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society. Dr. Ajit Kumar, Registrar and Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Controller of Examination of the college informed that for the session 2024-2025 total 498 graduates and post- graduate degrees were conferred in the faculties of Science, Arts, Commerce, Management and Computer Sciences. The Vice Principal of the college Prof. Jagdeep Kaur and Deans of various faculties presented the students for the award of degrees. Prof. Jagdeep Kaur presented the vote of thanks. Dr. Bhanvi Wadhwan, Dr. Varun Jain and Dr. Rupinder Singh Dhillon conducted the stage.
ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੰਨਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ 2026 ਵਿੱਚ 498 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ: 7 ਅਪਰੈਲ, 2026 ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਕਨਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਕੰਨਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਡਾ.) ਰਤਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ, ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਟੇਟ ਉਪਨ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਡਾ.ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਗ ਬਰਾੜ੍ਹ, ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕੰਨਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਵੰਦਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗਾਇਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ.ਵਿੰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਰਡ ਆਫ ਆਨਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮਹਿਮਾਨ, ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ, ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿ-ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਗਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ- ਗਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਡਾ.) ਰਤਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਂ-ਢਾਂਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਪੱਧਤੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ, ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦੇ ਅਦਾਨ-ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਾਰ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਬੋਲਦਿਆ ਡਾ. ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਮਾਧਿਅਮਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇੰਨੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਭੰਡਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਥੇ ਟੀਚਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਣ-ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਭਾਅ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਸਕੀਏ। ਡਾ. ਅਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਕਾਲਜ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਕੰਟਰੋਲਰ ਆਫ ਐਗਜ਼ਾਮੀਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕਨਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਰਟਸ, ਕਾਮਰਸ, ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨਜਮੈਂਟ ਦੀਆਂ 498 (ਗੈਰਜੂਏਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ-ਗੈਰਜੂਏਟ) ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ ਨੇ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ।ਕੰਨਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
