Multani Mal Modi College Organizes Workshop on
“Women Empowerment – Entrepreneurship in Garment Construction-II”

The Department of Fashion Technology, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized the second workshop of the series on “Women Empowerment – Entrepreneurship in Garment Construction” at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala on 01.11.2025.
The workshop was specially designed for the non-teaching women staff as well as students of Fashion Designing. Total 42 participants showed keen interest in learning during the workshop.
Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal applauded the initiative, emphasizing the importance of continuous skill-based training in empowering women toward self-reliance and entrepreneurial growth. Head of the Department, Dr. Veenu Jain, highlighted that the extension of the workshop series was driven by participants’ keen interest and the need to introduce them to more advanced garment-construction techniques. Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Head of IIC, reiterated the council’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship through practical, skill-oriented programs.
Faculty experts Mr. Rahul, Ms. Ramit, Ms. Abhineet Kaur, Ms. Lovely and Ms. Jasneet conducted hands-on sessions covering advanced garment construction and contemporary embroidery stitches. Participants expressed appreciation for the training and showed eagerness to attend future workshops.
The event concluded with the college reaffirming its dedication to women empowerment through sustained skill development and entrepreneurship-oriented initiatives.
