Two Days Commerce Fest-2025 celebrated at Multani Mal Modi College

The Post-graduate Department of Commerce, Multani Mal Modi College Patiala organized two-days Commerce fest-2025 to mark the recent transformations and innovations in the field of commerce and business and also to provide a platform to the students of the department to display their talents, skills and potential. In this event the Commerce students participated in various well- designed competitions and events such as ‘Scheme with theme’, ‘Dreams on Canvas’, ‘Dare for likes’, ‘Mix and match’, ‘Dance Mania’, ‘Singing competitions’, ‘Ad-mad show’, ‘Documentary film-making’, ‘Pen yours thoughts’, ‘Catchy lines’ and others competitions. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their creative skills and artistic potential, making them more industry ready for roles in Multinational organizations and preparing them to be successful entrepreneurs and business heads. Chartered Accountant Sh. Ajay Alipuria was chief guest in this event.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal emphasized the significance of Commerce and Business in the era of informational technologies and expanding global markets. “In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, commerce and business play a vital role in shaping the global economy. It’s essential for students to stay ahead of the curve and acquire skills that are relevant in the industry,” he said.
In his address Sh. Ajay Alipuria said that Business and Commerce are the core of our economic world. He appreciated the participating students and said that it is important to learn various skills and to pursue your artistic passion for a successful and happy life.
Prof. Parminder Kaur, Head of Commerce Department, said, “Arena of Commerce and Creativity provided a unique platform for our students to showcase their talents and creativity. We’re confident that this event will help our students develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in their future careers and become successful entrepreneurs and business leaders.”
During the event in the ‘On the Spot Painting Competition and Poster Making’ Sukhwinder Kaur stood and Narinder Singh stood first.
In the ‘Mix and Match’ (Collage making) competition first position won by Parul and Bhavik Garg bagged second position.
In ‘Pen your thoughts’ (Essay writing) competition Mukti won the first position and Harjeet Kaur stood second.
In the ‘Slogan Writing’ competition Divia Kumar won the first position and Muskaan Stood second.
In the category of Documentary Film making Guransh Singh won the first position and the team of Arpit Kansal, Vishav Goyal and Aman Goyal bagged the second prize. In a unique Ad–mad show the team of ‘Kala Kobra returns’ stood first while the team of ‘Babuke Babu’ was second. In solo Dance competition Jyoti Mittal and Harshita Bajaj won the first position while Tanvi Khanna and Neeraj Sharma bagged the second position.
In Group Dance competition the first position won by team of Harsimran Preet Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Manvir Kaur and Milanjot Kaur and the second position won by Harshi, Nanci and Vaishanvi.
The stage was conducted by commerce students Mukti, Diya Singla and others.
The event was successfully managed by Dr. Deepika Singla, Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Prof. Paramjeet Kaur, Prof. Harsimran Kaur and other staff members.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟ-ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ, ਹੁਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਫੈਸਟ-2025 ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ‘ਸਕੀਮ ਵਿਦ ਥੀਮ’, ‘ਡਰੀਮਸ ਆਨ ਕੈਨਵਸ’, ‘ਡੇਅਰ ਫਾਰ ਲਾਈਕਸ’, ‘ਮਿਕਸ ਐਂਡ ਮੈਚ’, ‘ਡਾਂਸ ਮੇਨੀਆ’, ‘ਸਿੰਗਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ’, ‘ਐਡ-ਮੈਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ’, ‘ਡਾਕੂਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ’ ਆਦਿ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁ-ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਮਿਕਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਲ ਉੱਦਮੀ ਜਾਂ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਤਿਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ. ਅਜੇ ਅਲੀਪੁਰੀਆ, ਚਾਰਟਰਡ ਅਕਾਊਟੈਂਟ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੇ ਯੁੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਣਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ “ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ, ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ-ਸੰਚਾਲਿਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਵਣਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਅਰਥਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।”
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ–ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਜੇ ਅਲੀਪੁਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਨਜ ਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਸਾਡੀ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਧੁਰਾ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ–ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਵਪਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੂਤਰ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ–ਨਾਲ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਲ ਉੱਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਆਗੂ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”
ਇਸ ਮੋਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ “ਆਨ ਦਾ ਸਪਾਟ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ” ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮਿਕਸ ਐਂਡ ਮੈਚ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ (ਕੋਲਾਜ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ) ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰੁਲ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿਕ ਗਰਗ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸਲੋਗਨ ਲਿਖਣ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਵਿਆ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਾਂਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਦਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕਾਂਸਲ, ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਗੋਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਨ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ‘ਕਾਲਾ ਕੋਬਰਾ ਰਿਟਰਨ’ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਈਵੈਂਟ ‘ਐਡ-ਮੈਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ‘ਬਾਬੂ ਕੇ ਬਾਬੂ’ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੀ। ਸੋਲੋ ਡਾਂਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋਤੀ ਮਿੱਤਲ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਬਜਾਜ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਨਵੀ ਖੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਰਜ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਗਰੁੱਪ ਡਾਂਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਰਸਿਮਰਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਮਨਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਲਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਰਸ਼ੀ, ਨੈਨਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਸ਼ਨਵੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਮੁਕਤੀ, ਦੀਆ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਸਫਲ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਡਾ.ਦੀਪਿਕਾ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ, ਡਾ.ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ.ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ.ਗੌਰਵ ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਹਰਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਦੀਕਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
