The NCC cadets of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized a road safety drive to address the growing concern of traffic accidents caused by blind spots. Under the guidance of college Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal, the initiative aimed to improve visibility and reduce accidents by applying reflective tape to poles, dividers, and pedestrian crossings around the dark areas of the Patiala city. This drive was run by NCC wings of the college in collaboration with 5 PB BN NCC, 10 PB BN NCC and 3Air SQN.
The road safety drive was a huge success, with the cadets engaging with locals and promoting the importance of road safety and responsible citizenship. The key aspects of the drive included improving visibility by applying reflective tape, raising awareness about road safety, and encouraging community engagement. The cadets also built on previous initiatives to promote road safety and community welfare.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ ਕੈਡਿਟਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਹਾਦਸਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੜਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਆਰੰਭੀ ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਖੰਭਿਆਂ, ਡਿਵਾਈਡਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਦਲ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਾਸਿੰਗਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਰਿਫਲੈਕਟਿਵ ਟੇਪ’ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਦਸਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ ਵਿੰਗਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ 5 ਪੀਬੀ ਬੀ.ਐਨ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ, 10 ਪੀਬੀ ਬੀ.ਐਨ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 3 ਏਅਰ ਐਸ.ਕਿੳ.ੂਐਨ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ।
ਇਹ ਸੜਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਡਿਟਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੜਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਤਾ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸੀ। ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਪਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਫਲੈਕਟਿਵ ਟੇਪ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ, ਸੜਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸੀ।
ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ ਕੈਡਿਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ ਕੈਡਿਟਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।” ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਐਨਸੀਸੀ ਕੈਡਿਟਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਵੀ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
