Students of Multani Mal Modi College Students brought laurels to Punjab at Dragon Boat Federation Cup 2025

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala’s Sports Department shines as its students represented Punjab at the Dragon Boat Federation Cup 2025, held in New Delhi from April 21 to April 24, 2025. Organized by the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association, the event witnessed intense competition, with the college’s team showcasing exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination.
The team from Multani Mal Modi College included standout performers who secured multiple medals across various categories. Rinku, Gurvinder Mohan, and Vishal, Manpreet Singh won three Silver medals and one Bronze medal as team members representing Punjab in the 500m, 200m, and 100m mix events.
Taranpreet Kaur clinched two Gold medals in the 100m and 200m mixed events as a team member. Gaganpreet Kaur secured three Silver medals in the 500m, 200m, and 100m events, Gaganpreet along with two Gold medals in the 500m and 200m mixed events.
These achievements reflect the students’ rigorous training, dedication, and the college’s commitment to nurturing talent in sports alongside academic excellence. The team balanced intensive practice sessions with their studies, guided by experienced coaches, to excel at this national-level championship.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ 21 ਅਪਰੈਲ ਤੋਂ 24 ਅਪਰੈਲ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਡ੍ਰੈਗਨ ਬੋਟ ਫੈਡਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੱਪ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਇੰਡਿਅਨ ਕਾਇਕਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਕਨੋਇੰਗ ਅਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਤਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਨਰ, ਟੀਮਵਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਨਿਰਣੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਡ੍ਰੈਗਨ ਬੋਟ ਫੈਡਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੱਪ 2025, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ‘ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਟੀਮਵਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜੁਨੂਨ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਵ-ਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਤਤਪਰ ਹਾਂ।
ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਤਮਗੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੇ। ਰਿੰਕੂ, ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਨੇ 500 ਮੀਟਰ, 200 ਮੀਟਰ ਅਤੇ 100 ਮੀਟਰ ਮਿਕਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਲੋਂ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਿੰਨ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ 100 ਮੀਟਰ ਅਤੇ 200 ਮੀਟਰ ਮਿਕਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੇ। ਗਗਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮਨਪਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ 500 ਮੀਟਰ, 200 ਮੀਟਰ ਅਤੇ 100 ਮੀਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਗਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ 500 ਮੀਟਰ ਤੇ 200 ਮੀਟਰ ਮਿਕਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤੇ।
ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ (ਡੀਨ, ਖੇਡਾਂ), ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੁਖੀ, ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਰਿੰਕੂ, ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਹਨ, ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ, ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਤਰਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਗਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਇਹ ਸਫਲਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਲਗਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਅਨੁਭਵੀ ਕੋਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਅਤੇ ਪੜਾਈ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤੁਲਿਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਰੱਗਬੀ, ਸਾਈਕਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਆਰਟਸ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਟਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।
