Multani Mal Modi College Patiala Wins Punjabi University Wushu Overall Inter College Championship
Multani Mal Modi College has won the Punjabi University Wushu Overall Inter-College Championship (Boys and Girls) held at Colonel College of Physical Education, Chaural Kalan. In Wushu Taolu events of Boys group, our players Harpreet Singh won gold medal and Madhav won 2 Silver Medals, Dipanshu won 1 silver medal and Harpreet Singh won 1 silver medal. Likewise, in Taolu events of girls group, Priyanka and Jaspreet won Gold Medals. In Wushu Sanshou events Muskan won Silver Medal in 52 kg weight category and Himanshi won Bronze Medal in 60 kg weight category.
The college Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar and Dr. Nishan Singh, Dean, Sports and Head, Sports Dept. of the College congratulated the winning teams. The principal assured the sports persons that college will keep on providing them all the facilities to perform well in the sports. Principal also applauded the sincere efforts of the teachers-in-charge of sports activities of Dr. Nishan Singh, Dr. Harneet Singh and Prof. (Ms.) Mandeep Kaur.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਕਰਨਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ਼ ਫ਼ਿਜ਼ੀਕਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਚੁਰਲ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਵੁਸ਼ੂ (ਲੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਓਵਰਆਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੁਸ਼ੂ ਤਾਲੂ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੁਸ਼ੂ ਤਾਲੂ ਟੀਮ ਦੋ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੁਸ਼ੂ ਸ਼ਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਵੁਸ਼ੂ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਵੁਸ਼ੂ ਤਾਲੂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ, ਮਾਧਵ ਨੇ 2 ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ, ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਪਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਇੰਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ 52 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਭਾਰ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਅਤੇ 60 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਭਾਰ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿਮਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਬਰੌਂਜ਼ ਮੈਡਲ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡਮ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਦੀ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
