Scouts and guides unit of Modi College represented Punjab In an on-line national youth forum
To participate and become part of national awareness campaign against Corona Virus initiated by government of India, the scouts and guides unit of Multani Mall Modi college, Patiala represented Punjab in two-day online national youth forum organized by ‘Bharat scouts and guides’, national headquarter, New Delhi.
College principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar while congratulating the students for their participation and spirit of service, said that it is very important to strengthen our spirit of unity and tireless service to the communities which are undergoing crisis and life- threatening situations because of this pandemic.
The main objective of this virtual conference was to discuss not only the global concerns and problems faced by different population due to pandemic but also to strengthen the movement for awareness and information among communities about prevention and protective measures against this killer disease.
Four scouts and guides of MM Modi College – Rover Lovepreet Singh (BA PART-III), Rover Prateek Saini (BA PART-III), Ranger Loveneet Kaur (BA PART-3) and ranger Manju Sharma (BSc Fashion Designing Part-III) participated in this forum.
The form was inaugurated with an extensive lecture on “Gender and generation equality”. The scouts and guides also participated in a questioning-answering session after the lecture. In the second session ‘united nations sustainable developmental goals ‘were discussed in which students expressed their viewpoints and opinions about feasibility and applicability of these goals. They also learned to prepare u-report. During the second day in valedictory session General secretary of ‘world organization of scouts movement’ Janab Ahmed Alhindvi discussed about what efforts and relief-works being started by scouts and guides all over the world for our humanity in this time of crisis. This virtual forum brings the spirit of unity and solidarity among scout and guides wings working around the globe.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਗਾਈਡਜ਼ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਵਲੋਂ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਯੂਥ ਫੋਰਮ ਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ
ਭਾਰਤ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਗਾਇਡਜ਼’ ਦੇ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਹੈਡਕੁਆਟਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ 9 ਤੋਂ 10 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਉਤੇ ਦੋ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ‘ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਯੂਥ ਫੋਰਮ’ ਦਾ ਵੀਡੀਉ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸਿੰਗ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੀ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੀ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੀ ਗਈ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਈਡਜ਼ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਫੋਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਜਜ਼ਬੇ ਲਈ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਚਲੀਆਂ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਦੌਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਇਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੰਕਟ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਢੁਕਵਾਂ ਵੇਲਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਲਈ ਅਣਥੱਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਇਸ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਫੋਰਮ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਫੈਲੀ ਕਰੋਨਾ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜਰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਲਾਕਡਾਉਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਪਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ; ਰੋਵਰ ਲਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ (ਬੀ. ਏ. ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ), ਰੋਵਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਸੈਣੀ (ਬੀ. ਏ. ਭਾਗ ਦੂਜਾ) ,ਰੇਂਜਰ ਲਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਬੀ. ਏ. ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ)ਅਤੇ ਰੇਂਜਰ ਮੰਜੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ (ਬੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਸੀ. ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਇਨਿੰਗ ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਫੋਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।
ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਇਸ ਯੂਥ ਫੋਰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਜਿਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ‘ਜੈਂਡਰ ਐਂਡ ਜੇਨਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਇਕੁਆਲਿਟੀ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛ ਕੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇ ਅਮਲੀ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸਿ਼ਸ਼ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਹੀ ‘ਯੂਨਾਈਟਡ ਨੇਸ਼ਨਜ਼ ਸਸਟੈਨਾਬਲ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਗੋਲਜ਼’ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕਾਉੁਟਸ ਨੂੰ ਯੂ-ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਪਰੰਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਫੈਲ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਉਪਾਅ ਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਕਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਗਾਈਡਜ਼ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਹਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂੰ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੀ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੇਹਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਯੋਗ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਢੰਗ ਵੀ ਦੱਸੇ ਗਏ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਵਰਲਡ ਆਰਗਿਨਾਇਜ਼ੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਮੂਮੈਂਟਸ’ ਦੇ ਜਰਨਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਜਨਾਬ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਅਲਹਿਦਵੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਾਇਗੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਫੋਰਮ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਹੋਈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕਾਉਟਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਫੋਰਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਸ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਸੁਝਾਏ।
