Students of M. M. Modi College participated in Half Marathan
The NSS volunteers and Bharat and Scouts wings today participated in half marathon based on the theme of ‘Run for Clean and Healthy Society’ organised by Jan Samiti (Regd). The main objective of this Marathon was to bring awareness about human health care, social problems, drug prevention and environmental cleanliness.
College principal Dr. Khushvider Kumar congratulated the participants and volunteers and said that art and cultural activities and social work is an integral part of learning in higher education as it helps in utmost personality development of the students.
The NSS programme officer Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Prof. Deepak Kumar, BSG Ranger leader Dr. Veenu Jain Rover leader Dr. Rupinder Singh Dhillon motivated the volunteers and Scouts to get trained in registration of the participants, providing first aid to the needy athletes, discipline duty, refreshment arrangements, the guidance services for the participants and to work for ‘Plastic free zones’.
The organisation committee also provided certificates to the 40 participants at the end of event.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ‘9ਵੀਂ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਹਾਫ਼ ਮੈਰਾਥਨ’ ‘ਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ
ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਗਾਈਡਜ਼ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ( ਰੇਂਜਰ ਤੇ ਰੋਵਰਜ਼) ਅਤੇ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਨਹਿਤ ਸਮਿਤੀ (ਰਜਿ.) ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਲ਼ੋਂ ‘ਰਨ ਫਾਰ ਕਲੀਨ ਐਂਡ ਹੈਲਥੀ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ’ ਥੀਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ‘9ਵੀਂ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਹਾਫ ਮੈਰਾਥਨ’ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ- ਵੱਖ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਚ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਇਹ ਮੈਰਾਥਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਵ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਲਾਮਤਾਂ, ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਸੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ,ਕਲਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਜੀ. ਅਤੇ ਐਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ। ਐਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ ਦੀਪਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ , ਅਤੇ ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਜੀ. ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਰੇਂਜਰ ਲੀਡਰ ਡਾ. ਵੀਨੂੰ ਜੈਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਵਰ ਸਕਾਊਟਸ ਲੀਡਰ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਅਗਵਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਕੁੱਲ 40 ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਦੂਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਚ ਅਥਲੀਟ, ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਰਜਿਸਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ, ਮੁਢਲੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਐਂਬੂਲੈਂਸ ਚ ਸਹਾਇਕ, ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਣ, ਰਿਫਰੈਸ਼ਮੈਂਟ ਵੰਡ, ਪੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਕ ਅਤੇ ‘ਪਲਾਸਟਿਕ ਮੁਕਤ’ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਰਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਇੰਚਾਰਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਬਦਲੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਚਿੰਨ ਵੀ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
