Proceedings of the Staff meeting held on 25.01.2022 at 12:00 noon in Seminar Hall (Room No. 8) of the college

A meeting of all faculty members and office staff held on 25.01.2022 at 12:00 noon in Seminar Hall (Room No. 8) of the College. The meeting was chaired by the College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar. Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Registrar of the College put the Agenda of the meeting before the members of the staff. The following issues and points were discussed in a thorough manner and took the decisions as per agenda items.

  1. To discuss modalities of upcoming Online Examination starting from January 28, 2022: Ajit Kumar, Controller of Examinations discussed the various instructions for teachers and students to be followed during online examination. He clarified all the queries of staff members regarding online examination.
  2. To discuss the progress on liaising with schools to boost the admissions: Dr. Neeraj Goyal explained all the activities to be conducted for capacity building of school students.
  3. To discuss report on Students’ Vaccination data: The Principal asked all the concerned staff members to submit student vaccination data.
  4. To discuss Report on FDP learning outcomes: The Principal asked all the head of departments to update about submission of research proposal and research papers. He persuaded all members to submit on learning outcomes of the FDP by the end of January 2022.
  5. To discuss involvement of faculty in shortlisting the rare books and useful old books for binding: The Principal informed all the staff members to visit library and shortlist the rare books and they were also advised to select the useful old books for binding.

Proceedings of the Academic Council meeting with Student Council held on 25.01.2022 at 2:30 pm through online mode on ZOOM

A meeting of Academic Council with Student Council was held on 25.01.2022 at 2:30 pm through online mode on ZOOM. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal of the College presided over the meeting. Prof. (Mrs.) Shailendra Kaur, Vice Principal of the College put the Agenda of the meeting. The following issues and points were discussed in a thorough manner and took the decisions as per agenda items.

  1. Voters’ Day oath and motivation for registration and casting their votes: Ved Prakash Sharma discussed about the process of election of our representatives and said that as responsible citizens it is our duty to exercise our right to vote in a fair and responsible manner. he also administered oath on National Voters’ Day.
  2. To discuss the modalities of online examinations: Dr. Ajit Kumar discussed the process of Online Examination and clarified various doubts of students regarding examination.
  3. To involve students to motivate for vaccination: The Principal motivated the students for vaccination.
  4. To discuss general problems of the students: The Principal addressed general problems raised by the students.

Proceedings of the Staff meeting held on 20.01.2022 at 12:30 pm through online mode on ZOOM

A meeting of all faculty members and office staff held on 20.01.2022 at 12:30 pm through online mode on ZOOM. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal of the College presided over the meeting. 123 members were present in the meeting. Dr. Ajit Kumar, Registrar of the College put the Agenda of the meeting before the members of the staff. The following issues and points were discussed in a thorough manner and took the decisions as per agenda items.

  1. To discuss outcomes of FDP organized from 12th January to 19th January 2022: The Principal appreciated all the members of IQAC team to take initiative to hold Faculty Development Programme. He asked all the members of the staff to submit proposal on learning outcome of the FDP by the end of January, 2022.
  2. To discuss the progress of the liaising with schools for activities and data collection process: The Principal asked all the concerned staff members to submit the list for liaising with schools for activities and data collection to Dr. Neeraj Goyal by the end of January, 2022.
  3. Teachers library usage record: The Principal suggested to visit library and use the maximum resources available in the library and library staff to maintain the record of the same.
  4. Earn while Learn Scheme for students: The Principal informed that college has already started the scheme of ‘earn while learn’ for some students of Photography and Music. The Principal asked the staff members to take such initiative in other fields also which benefits the college as well as the students.
  5. Reorganisation of the Registrar Office: The Principal informed that the quantum of work in the Registrar Office has increased manifolds. Moreover, the NAAC Peer Team also insisted that holding of Examination and related work is not the duty of Registrar, for this job a separate person may be appointed. Keeping in view the college took initiative in consultation with the Managing Committee to bifurcate the office in two parts i.e. Registrar and Controller of Examinations. Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Associate Professor and Dean Life Science will act and look after the duties of Registrar and Dr. Ajit Kumar, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science will act as Controller of Examinations and will look after all the examinations and related duties.
  6. Status of Internal Assessments: The Principal informed all the members to submit the soft copy of internal assessment to Sh. Jasvinder Singh in the General Office, he will provide the hard copy after uploading it on the University Website before locking the data, to recheck the internal assessment by the concerned teachers. The teachers will keep all the record of internal assessment with them.
  7. Conduct of Special MST for the students who could not qualify 1st and 2nd MST, and who have not deposited their fee: The office of Controller of Examinations will provide the list of students who have not cleared the MST examination and accounts office will provide the list of students who have not deposited their fee so far. All the teachers are required to hold MST examination through online mode and submit the list of students who have cleared the MST conducted by them. The class mentors will inform the students to deposit their fee immediately otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in university examination.
  8. To discuss the Procedure of Conduct and Evaluation of University Examination: The Principal discussed the procedure to conduct Punjabi University Online Examination by the college. The detailed instructions will be circulated in due course of time.
